I believe SO many things Fryedaddy!

Ok, I'm an atheist. I believe it's very important that we believe in things that are likely true because we have a very short life on this earth. I want to believe in things that are true, no matter how painful, than things that are untrue but just make me feel cozy.

If I chose my reality on what made me happiest...right now Ewan McGregor and Gerard Way are harboring killer crushes on me. :D

I believe that God is good and he wants only what is best for us. The reason I believe it is because I have studied the Bible diligently and I understand (at least somewhat) the kind of person that he is. He has caused me to trust him and I guess that is what I think believing is. We cannot believe anything in this system of things with Satan and the demons running all the governments and influencing all the people and with all of us being deceived by our sinful natures. We can believe that the one who created us has a much better plan (He calls it the REAL life). It is sometimes hard to be patient and wait for it to kick in but we really have to try. You will know that he has begun to turn his attention to the clean up here when the governments close all the false religions. In the meanwhile, keep searching for God in his word. Pray for his holy spirit to help you understand what you read and find others who are trying to live under his guidance and direction and associate with them on a regular basis. You will find encouragement and begin to see the real life.

Romans 10:8-13
But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart"—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, [9] that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; [10] for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. [11] For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed." [12] For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; [13] for "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved."

If you need a definition of "believe" I recommend Merriam-Webster, they have an on-line dictionary.

I try to follow the words and teachings of Jesus from a book called the course in miracles.

It is the most rational thought system that I have found to date. Unlike the bible it has no contradictions.

im an atheist, and i believe in logical things, not miricles or majic. science is way more simplistic and makes more sense then believing in something. being atheist, people think im "going to hell," but thats only what THEY believe in. to believe in somehting is simply what you live for and how you live for something. what you think is the truth and what is false.

have a GREAT day

I believe in the existence of belief. Belief is organized thought (directed electricity).

It could be said that the Bible is a book of history -- and it is. The Bible describes places, people, and events in various degrees of detail. It is essentially an historical account of the people of God throughout thousands of years. If you open to almost any page in the Bible you will find a name of a place and/or a person. Much of this can be verified from archaeology. Though archaeology cannot prove that the Bible is the inspired word of God, it has the ability to prove whether or not if some events and locations described therein are true or false. So far, however, there isn't a single archaeological discovery that disproves the Bible in any way.

WITH THE ABOVE ACCEPTED YOU CAN NOW MOVE ON TO THE NEXT STEP.

In this world you have good and you have evil. Which half of the water-half-filled-glass do you want to look at the rest of your life.
