Zip files are not a document type. They are a compressed file that can hold any type of file within them. Usually done to reduce the size when e-mailing it.

You will need a zip program to open the file. If you are using XP, there is one build in. Otherways go to download.com and get either Winzip or Winrar. Both are free.

Open the file, and you should find the actual document inside the zip file. Extract the document and you should be able to open it.

.zip is a compressed file format.. use winzip to unzip it to view its contents.. search google for `winzip' and download the same, install it and then unzip the .zip file to see the files that are packed in it.. this is the only option.. btw, you cannot change a .zip to a .pdf by just renaming the extension

you cant. the zip file is a compressed file in the zip format. to uncompress it use winzip or a uncompression program that supports the zip format. hopefully when uncompression happens, the results is the PDF file.
