First of all you answer to you own question is a little rude and disrespectful. There are some churches where you dont have to be quiet. For example, I go to a penecostal church and we arent quiet. There are lots of amens, preach it etc. Being quiet in church shows respect for others and the minister. Obvioulsy if u are sleeping in church then you are going to the wrong church.

You could always stand up and wake them up. It shows respect! Would you talk through a movie? NO! Because you respect the other people there. Same at Church. You show respect to God, the priest and the people around you.

i am assuming you are talking about the worship hour. we all sing for part of that time but when the minister begins to preach we are silent so we can give him our complete attention and let those around us be able to have full benefit without interruption from our talking and we are their to worship our all mighty God with reverence.
1Co 14:40 Let all things be done decently and in order.
we need to be focused on the sermon and see how we may apply it to our live and hopefully help others.
go to bed early at home early and get your sleep there and you will not disrespect god.

You're not going to the right church. A trip to a holiness church will be a real eye opener.
People mumbling and twitching and shouting randomly, throwing up their hands. You know, freaky voodoo Christianity. The primitive masquerading as the profound.

Church is a Spiritual place, and only when mouth stops working you here to your mind,your mind will be peaceful and you can concentrate on God good.
People have to know that only quiet and peaceful mind can concentrate better on god or on anything.Also when you speak you are diverting lots of energy towards it instead use for concentrating on god for long time and focussing on god for long time is very difficult.
If you are not concentrating your mind on god atleast help others by keeeping quiet.

because of respect to God, when u are in there u listen to the pastor. But know that the church is in you and all around you, not in a building.
