Christians think fighting is wrong because it is taking matters into your own hands. Instead of wanting to help that person, you basically just want to fight them until they shut up. That's not how God wants us to live. We are to remember that we are not perfect either, and we should everyone, even our enemies, like we love them and we feel bad for them.
Also, God is the one who brings judgement and vengeance, and when we take it upon ourselves to punish someone, we're not letting God move in the situation.
Keep in mind that obviously this does not appy to self defense. If we are being attacked, we have the right to fight back. But we are not allowed to initiate the attack. And even if someone attacks us - if they stop and apologize, we have to forgive them.

Read The Sermon on The Mount in Matthew and Luke. Jesus teaches us not to resist the evil man, in other words, do not defend yourself. He tells us to pray for those that persecute us. he tells us that there will be a time when people will kill us believing they are serving God.
The point is this. As Christians, provided we are faithful to Jesus and His teachings, we have Eternal Life. So, we have nothing to fear from death. However, the people that may attack us have not yet accepted Christ. If we were to fight them, we would be disobedient to Jesus' teachings, and so could lose our Eternal Life. Also, if we take the life of another person, that person no longer has the possibility of accepting Jesus. So, we do not fight back and we do not attack.

You asked for Christians but say you have no fixed belief. But Christ commands His Christians always to submit. We are never to argue nor to fight others. It takes two to fight. When one refuses the other cannot continue. Just walk away. Pro 15:1 A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger. 1Co 11:16 But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.

Who told you they think fighting is wrong? Just because we are supposed to "turn the other cheek"?
I think fighting, killing and a host of other things are wrong but not because I am a Christian (or any other faith), I just feel they are unethical behaviors.
Now...if those came from my faith one would say its..because I am a Christian. BUT...I have agnostic, athiest and other non-Christian friends who ALSO think they are wrong. Where did their's come from.

Quakers and Ana-baptists, Mennonites and Brethren are all pacifists, refusing to participate in any form of police, military, and even gov't in general.
They take their teaching from the Sermon on the Mount where Jesus said: "You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.' 39 "But I say to you, do not resist him who is evil; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also. Matthew 5:38-39
But not all Christians are pacifist, seeing justification in war in certain circumstances, and full justification for police and participation in gov'tmental working.
Romans 13:3-4 For rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior, but for evil. Do you want to have no fear of authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same; 4 for it is a minister of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for it does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a minister of God, an avenger who brings wrath upon the one who practices evil.
You need to Google on "just war theory."

Um, based on their long and bloody history of waging war on anyone who didn't believe in Christianity, I'd say that your homework is based on a fallacy.

Well first of all it has nothing to do with christians, all fighting is wrong, christians along with many others had killed in God's name since time began, so theanswer to your homework is all fighting is wrong, and the main reason there is so much of it is religion

But they don't. your premise is false. Christians armies have fought all over the world and still do. Christians have killed from the beginning and still do. The religion in no wise teaches non-violence as doctrine.
