He is being treated for Lung Cancer and is being treated at Neots hospital but has also been sent to other hospitals in the area.

He has also suffered from pluracy, the treatment for which has been very painful and disabilitating.

First you have to prove that there has been negligence. Pleurisy is painful and debilitating and the treatment is antibiotics and rest.

If you feel your father has a case, first write to the Complaints Manager at the hospital where he was treated. By law in the UK they have to respond to EVERY complaint. Keep copies of all correspondence. You are more likely to succeed if you follow correct procedure rather than go straight to a lawyer. This shows that you're willing to try and resolve things. If you're still not happy with the outcome, contact a solicitor that specialises in medical negligence claims. Make sure you read the small print though as some of the costs can be astronomical, even for 'no win no fee' cases.
