Sin

2006-11-10 03:53:35 · answer #1 · answered by Preacher 6 · 0 2

God loves the world so much that he has allowed us to be born into this sinful world where we inherit sin from Adam and Eve from the moment of conception so that we can be born and we can see what a mess the world is because Adam and Eve chose to believe Satan when he proposed that humans could rule themselves without God's help. God knows (unlike many of us) that he can undo all of the ill effects of sin and death. Therefore, he wrote all of us a letter explaining why he has allowed it to continue for so long and what the benefits are to us if we wait on Him and his righteousness. Don't mistakenly look around at the mess (being created by Satan and his demons and the sinful nature that humans inherited) and confuse that with God not caring about us. Read the letter (the Bible)--a little bit every day and pray that God will grant you holy spirit to help you understand it. Find others who are sincerely looking to God for direction and guidance and associate with them regularly. The benefits are immeasurable. Also, don't ever believe the lie that some Churches teach about hellfire. Read Jeremiah 7:31 and understand how God really feels about such a practice. Then, understand that the Bible hell is NOT what they teach. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any more questions. God loves you more than you will ever know.

because we were given free will..therefore all the suffering and destruction is all of our own doing. the word 'god ' is a term i use loosley as it can be misinterpreted and misused and unfortunatly most people dont really have any of their own ideas or thoughts of what it means.

regarding a baby gettin born into a drug/poor family well...yes, the theory is that our soul chooses its next life for the purpose of experince and growth. all the infinite aspects of life /death must b experienced by the soul in order fopr it to grow and take back the new lessons learnt to the 'source'. therefore a soul will always choose what it can handle or what it needs for its growth. if u can comprehend the fact that there really is no such thing as good or bad, right or wrong - in the bigger picture, then u will get an understandin of what im sayin. u cannot experience happiness without knowin what it is to be sad. how can u understan what hot is if u never been cold...see what i mean?

Dear Joe,

First, let me say that most people in Y/A Religion have been given a false gospel. They derived this false gospel from NOT reading the entire Bible and comparing Scripture with Scripture (1 Corinthians 2:13). Most have chosen a few verses from the Bible and built a gospel of their own understanding around these verses. For example many people quote John 3:16 or put it up on a poster and hold it up at a public event. They tell people, "Just believe on Jesus" and you'll be saved. But they fail to understand that man is spiritually DEAD (Ephesians 2:1-3). Another fact that many people do not understand is that God does not love the world! Read Romans 9:10-23. Esau was one of Isaac's two sons. The Bible tells us that God hated Esau before he was even born! You see, when man (Adam) rebelled against God in the garden, all of his progeny became sinners (rebels against God). Sin brought judgement on ALL of mankind--eternal damntion. However, sin also brought God to curse the world which He had so wonderfully made. That is why we have parasites, disease, tsunamis, hurricanes, volcanoes, etc. The reason why there is so much hatred and war in the world is because man is a sinner. The only hope for mankind (because the end is coming quickly), is salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ. God in His great mercy (because all of us deserve hell) determined to save some of these rebels and make them His children. But God is holy, righteous, and just. He cannot allow people to come into heaven if they have not paid for their sins. That means that a sinner must to go to hell forever and when he gets out he can go to heaven. But yousee the problem... Jesus Christ (God) became a man and became the substitute to pay for the sins of those whom God intended to save (the elect). We do not know who these "elect" are but God is no respecter of persons. If God is going to save a person it will occur under the hearing of His word--the Bible. "So then, faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God." Faith is a synonym for the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, so then Christ cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. God does ALL the work in salvation--man play no part. You see, you have free will to determine what you eat-hamburger with ketchup or without ketchup-but you have no free will to choose Christ. It is the Lord who is Sovereign and chosses whom He will. What youshould do is read the Bible, slowly and prayerfully. Pray and humbly ask the Lord to have mercy on you.

If the omnipotent God required that there be no evil in this world, then you would be a robot, without the opportunity to choose to love God and obey Him. Forced love is an oxymoron, like a square triangle or God creating a rock too heavy for even Him to lift.

Suffering is not proof that God does not love us, but rather proof that we are sinners, and the consequences of our sin flows down to the children and grandchildren for many generations.

For example, Johnathan Edwards was a preacher before the American Revolution. In his lineage are many preachers, governors, senators, a couple of Presidents, Supreme Court Justices, etc.

Yes, God gave us free will, and man has used that free will to commit unspeakable atrocities. That's why there's so much suffering in the world. A baby has no choice of where it is born, but the baby's parents have the choice of whether or not to do drugs, or to bring a baby into that life. You will never understand the ways of God by trying to use your logic.

God does but..... theres this thing called free will. Same thing as when you love someone in your family who has an addiction. You can't make them get worse or better, they have to want it. If God just said "oh let's just make big peace and everybody gets to live life the same" what would be the point? Then there wouldn't be "philisophical questions" such as yours to surface because we'd all be the same. Really.

Free will is a powerful thing in that it can make or break us. 99% of our suffering is a result of us bringing it on ourselves. There's plenty of food to go around, it's just that the developing countries don't distribute it. Drugs are also people's choice. Nobody made anyone do drugs.

Yes actually it is. Being born at all is the most important issue. We can make our lives what ever we choose from there on. There are people born into the circumstances you mentioned who manage to one way or another improve upon their lives. The Lord provides the way we just have recognize it when it is before us.

it is man's choice to not do the drugs in the first place that made the baby come intot he world with the drugs. in the bible it says thre will be poor. Perhaps we as christians are to help them get on the right path. We are all sinners and we all make wrong choices and for that we have the huge sufferings of now and past wrong choices. God is not to blame we all are.
