I would stick with chicken and fish and seafood.

They are really healthy and you can hardy them up by adding rice cooked with 1/2 water and 1/2 chicken/beef broth to give you more flavor w/out adding table salt. OR red beans or really any beans for that matter will also hardy up the mean and still give you protein, fiber and still be good for you.

Meat is obviously a good source of protein, but I'm sure you already knew that :)

Other choices will include beans, nuts, and soy products.

Some examples of leaner protein would be:
Skinless chicken or turkey breast, tuna (packed in water, NOT oil), basically fish of any kind cooked correctly, cottage cheese, egg whites, lentils, tofu, low or fat free cheese, kidney or black beans, etc, etc...

a pouch of tuna. I'm eating one right now. 140 calories and 26 grams of protein. eat a handfull of almonds too for a little fiber and a helping of good fats. I read somewhere that chocolate mik has a good mix of protein carbs and fat for after workouts too. but i just stick to the protein and almonds.

Tuna packed in water is an excellent low calorie choice, as is low fat cottage cheese. Brown beans, most cheese, and meats all contain protein.
