Average respitory rate for a healthy adult is between 12 to 20 breaths per minute. Let's assume the average of that as being 16.
So 16 breaths per minute, over the course of the day the average healthy adult would have drawn:
60 minutes x 24 hours x 16 breaths
= 1440 x 16
= 23,040 breaths.
But of course that's assuming that that person remains in the same mental, emotional and physical state all day.

we prefer oxygen to maintain our blood flowing. in case your blood stops flowing, it can't get to the middle and your coronary heart will provide up pumping blood during your physique and you will die. Oxygen is what retains your blood flowing. Evolution does not account for this type of stuff. so thats 720 times an hour
so thats 17,280 times a day.
More if you are exercising or having sex.
Less if you are dead.
