I wonder if anyone can tell me for sure if a person could use the ceramic part of a crockpot in the microwave oven?

I'm sure you could; but I wouldn't suggest it. Your crockpot has sealant on it for cooking for longperiods of time, and the microwave oven could make it chip or crack, which means you would have to replace your crock pot.

I believe there are some other products that you can use for the microwave oven. It is better that you use your crockpot for what was made for. Good Luck!

I would think so it should be pure ceramic. Check your owners manual though.

Why not just use the crockpot to reheat though?

I have done it several times when I made something for a pot luck. It has not harmed it in any way at all.
