What you are considering doing is ruining a friendship. Just because she has become attached to you doesn't mean dating is a good course to take. Why don't you spend some time getting to know other girls that wont come with these complications. I don't think you have to worry about dating them either just spend some time around girls so you get more comfortable so a clingy little sister stops being such a big deal.

It's okay if you talk to him about it. Don't secretly do it behind his back then tell him after it has already happened. Tell him his sister is cute. How he reacts will give you a good idea on if he will have a problem with it or not. My friends reply was "If you EVER go ANYWHERE near my sister I will kill you!" So I figure it's 50/50 if he will be okay with it or not. If he is against it but you want to continue anyway, just tell him straight up "I know you are against it, but I like her and will give her a call anyway" something like that. He will get angry but so long as you are honest and open about it (before you start dating her), there is a good chance he will get over it.

First of all you should find out in a round about way, how your friend feels about you dating his sister. He may be very upset if you just dump these type of news on him and you may loose a long time friend. If your friend is cool with it and you really like this young lady, then go for it. One year difference in age is nothing. Actually, it is better if you are a little bit older than your girlfriend. The fact that she is in grade eight is also not an issue at your age.

I do think it would be good form to ask your friend if it's okay before you ask her out. If you think she's mature enough for you to date, I don't see a problem with it. As far as other people wondering why you're dating, if anyone asks you, just say, "Because we like each other". I think they'll get the point.

since u r still young it's not the big love yet so to worry about so don't go for it because:
1.if u had a quarel with her brother it would be akward for ur relation with his sister to keep on
2.and if u broke up with his sister he wouldn't wana talk to u & u would lose an important friend (hard to find)

It's usually not a good thing. I dated my friends brother in high school, and she became extremely jealous.

yes, if you are not going to just use her for sex. If you want a real relationship with her and thing don't work out at lease he would know that you liked her.
