The scar should not effect the piercing and I don't think it'll look bad, keep in mind, that is up to you to decide.
The side effects of getting your nose pierced are much like other piercings; infections, rejection, keloids, localized and occastion pain during healing. As long as you take care of it, get the piercing done by a trained professional, you shouldn't have any problems at all. When you take out the piercing, there will be a tiny dot like scar, but they are often hardly noticeable and do fade over time.
I doubt you will have any problems, just talk with a piercer and get all of your concerns out of the way. Good luck.

I have had my nose pierced 4 times. The first time it didn't really hurt too bad, or bleed. But after that they re-pierced through the scar tissue, and that hurt. It isn't enough pain to say ow, but it might make your eyes water. Just take a deep breath when they do it and keep breathing, you'll be fine. I had a Monroe, and that was worse for pain. The nose isn't too bad :) I would say on a scale, it might be a 7 but the pain is only for a few seconds and it's over with.

I had one for many yers and have tried all ways of doing it and all manner of rings/studs/curly tails My fave way was to have it done in a piercing place. Many tattoo shops have piercing on the side-I would no longer consider that. I also had the jeweler make the piece for me. He measured the distance of my nostril and made a barbell that exactly fits that. It is a one piece construction and not meant to be taken out. It grows nothing on it so my nose is always clean inside.

ive had my nose pierced for 2 years and its really easy to take care of the only problem i had was when i first got it pierced they used a stud that wasnt curved so it fell out other then that no problems as for the scar it wont look to bad unless the scar is really big you should also talk to your piercer about it
when picking a place make sure that they are sanitary and that they use a fresh needle everytime

I have a nose ring and I love it. I have a simply stud in it. Just make sure you follow the piercer's instructions so that it does not get infected.

My wife had one. Now, there's a little scar on the inside of her nose that always getting crusty and affects her breathing. It will be annoying to her for the rest of her life.
The belly button ring is much cuter.

I just recently got my nose pierced and when I asked the piercer what the scarring would be like if I took it out he said it would resemble a zit scar. The skin will fill in the hole but there would be a little divet where it used to be.
Dont wear a ring they are tacky...Get a screw or something
