I made the stupid decision to dye my hair pink. Not the whole thing is pink, it is just highlights, but still, its pretty pink. Can I dye it back to blonde using a drugstore brand without turning my hair another funky color, like orange?

When I did the same thing - pink - I had to go to a salon and have them do it for me as anything I tried only gave me peculiar colors (at one point, I turned it the color of Tang - a creepy, pale orange). It cost more than I wanted to spend, but it was worth it.

DO NOT DYE IT!
If it's pink, you've added pigment to your hair, which means you want to remove it. Use a stripper, then if you want to change the colour go from there.
You won't get proper results dying over top of the pink, and it will kill your hair to repeat the dying process to get your acheived colour. The less steps taken in this case, the better.

Let a Pro do it for you if you want it to work! One of my daughters put purple streaks in my younger daughters hair and it looked awful! We bought light brown hair color from walmart and tried doing her whole head to cover the purple. What was once purple turned blue and green! If you do your own your supposed to put peroxide on the colored part to remove that color and then use the hair color you want but your best bet is going to a salon!

NO! Get it done. The stuff you buy at the drug store does not have bleach in it, and it will turn your hair orange. You will need them to strip the pink in order to get the red pigment out. It will be worth the extra money.

well there is the chance of that happening if you use the drugstore brand. your best chance is going to a salon and having them do it. it does cost more then the drugstore obviously but its worth it. that way you dont come out with orange hair.

If I were you I wouldn't risk it. You can go to a salon and have them strip your hair and then have it done professionaly. There is nothing worse than botched up hair dyed blonde. Trust me, it is so tacky and you will never live it down. Good luck to you.

Make it darker lol Just kidding. If you want it blonde then go for it but if you are only doing it to please him then dont. When you are in a relationship and you cannot be yourself then it is not a good relationship to be in.

Corrective colors can be tricky to do. Your best bet go to a salon. I was a color consulton at our salon.
