There's this girl in my class. She is in 7th grade Algebra and in a advanced reading class. It's so annoying cause I'm smarter than her and she knows it! But in band yesterday Bree asked her why she was in 7th grade math. And said that she must be smart. Her answer was," Yeah, I'm smart and I know it" can u believe that? Why r people so stupid?

You are being the better person by not bragging. I know your age is hard. My daughter is probably close to your age (she's 12 and I apologize if I didn't get even close to your age) but she is very mature for 12 and there are kids that annoy her to the point that she doesn't even want to be friends but I think she needs to learn how to be tolerable.
No one person is perfect ever so knowing this we must tolerate the differences in one another. You know that you are a smart girl but at the same time you don't have to broadcast it because you're afraid people won't like you if you're not...that already makes you the better person.
Feel good about yourself that you don't have to broadcast your strengths because you believe in your abilities and don't rely on that alone.
I don't know if I helped any but you asked a really great question and I wish I would have had a forum like this to go to when I was your age.

If she is in 7th grade algebra and in advanced reading she IS smart and has every right to brag about it. And what makes you think that you are smarter than her....are you in the same classes as her?
You thinking your smarter than her isnt that just as bad as her thinking she's smart?????

maybe she wasnt trying to brag and even if she was trying to it might be cause she isnt to confident in herself as a person or some other reason and that made her feel good and she took advantage of the situation and used it to make herself feel good.

PEOPLE BRAG A LOT SO PEOPLE CAN LIKE THEM AND CAN TRY TO BE POPULAR BUT HALF OF THE TIME IT GETS THEM NO WHERE CAUSE MOST PEOPLE DON'T LIKE PEOPLE WHO BRAG A LOT. When people brag, they are doing it to make themselves feel better about themselves. They also brag to make other people impressed, but really it does just the opposite. If you don't brag about what you have, trust me, people will notice.

well some people are just a little too proud of themselves...but she probably works hard to be that way...maybe the side of her that you never see...then again she can feel insecure...she just needs to sit on her ego!...don't let her get to you anyway...
