You don't have victory if you still remain in your sins. Jesus died so we could have victory over our sins but whats the use in believing Christ took our sins upon himself if you still keep sinning. It's like an alcoholic that says he's free from the bondage of alcohol but keeps drinking.

The Victory that you are speaking of is a victory over the second death which we deserve, but Jesus has paid for with His precious blood. He died for our sins past, present, and future. You should try to live a life with as little sin as you can, but you still have the sin nature - the difference between you if you are saved is that you realize that Christ died and paid for your sins. You should want to live a life for Christ, but you may not have the "victory" over sin that you want to have simply because the devil is daily tempting you with that sinful nature. Now if you have no guilt for living in sin, then you need to check your salvation. Once you are sure that you have accepted Christ as your personal Saviour, you have the true Victory. The rest of your life will be a struggle to live a life pleasing to Him - that ain't easy, and it is a way for the devil to make you think that you are losing the battle. God bless you

Your sins have been forgiven just for the asking. Your sin nature remains and therefore you are still tempted to disobey God and walk in your own thoughts and desires.

As we grow in our walk with God, we gain more and more control over our own sin nature and are better able to resist temptations. Even a very mature Christian can and will be tempted to sin if they turn their head from the pathway towards the world. Sin is very powerful and its right inside our very nature, so we always have to be working against our own thoughts and desires and keep our eyes and heart focused on God and his will and his way for us.

Victory through Christ means that your eternal soul is cleansed of all sin, Christ has victory over sin. Your temporal body remains in sin because it is sinful in nature. Your soul is eternal, when you accept Christ Jesus as your savior it is washed in His blood cleansing your soul of ALL sin past and future. When you are washed in the blood your spirit becomes of God, Gods nature is not of sin. Because your body is temporal and worldly it will remain in sin and it is the only part of you that dies. When our temporal self's die we are given new eternal bodies on the last day (judgment).

You can say it but it doesn't mean it's true. Part of living victoriously is knowing that sin is no longer your master, you don't HAVE to obey it in the lust thereof.
