When a person passes away do you believe they can come back and haunt you/check up on you. My dad past way in May, my lights and t.v. sometimes turn themselves on and off. My mom's fan turns it self on and off also. Once I put my daily medication on the counter like always. I went to the bathroom, when I came back they moved to the other side of the kitchen? Is this really my dad? Thanks

It could be anyone but since this only started happening since your dad passed away I would bet it is him just trying to let you know that he is ok and that he is still here for you. Acknowledge his presence and take comfort in the fact that his still there for you even if he is not physically present. He is looking out for you.

I'm very sorry to hear about your dad. I've lost both of my parents so I know how painful it is. Nobody can really answer that question. It could be your dad's spirit or it could be your mind playing tricks on you. We don't have any way to prove these things. After my best friend's mom passed away he experienced strange things like you mentioned. Lights were turned on or off and things appeared to have been mysteriously moved. My mom passed away three years ago and I occasionally get very vivid hallucinations (?) of her perfume. When this happens I immediately look around the room. I don't know if it's her spirit sometimes visiting me or my mind trying to assure me that she's still with me. I like to think it's the former.

First, I'm sorry to hear about your dad. And personally, I think that it could be. I believe that after someone dies they are still around to watch over you. Maybe your dad is just trying to let you know that he's still with you. I hope this helps.
May you find peace.

No I don't think it's possible. But the mind can make you believe many things so if you really THINK you're being haunted, then everything that seems odd to you will make you more and more paranoid. It's all mental. I believe when people die, they cease to exist.

No I don't believe people come back to haunt you or check up on you. I believe the dead are conscience of nothing and are asleep until the resurrection.

I definetly think its possible. ie- my dog passed away recently, we had him for 10 years and he was such a momma's dog so my mom was devastated. Two nights after he passed away my mom was sleeping and all of a sudden felt this weight on her legs and she opened her eyes and she saw Dusty (my dog) and he was licking her and wagging his tail and cuddling and me mom went back to sleep (of course she was dreaming this) but when she woke up it felt so real to her that she knew in her heart is was Dusty just letting her know he is ok and happy and he will be with her again one day.

It isn't "haunting", it is trying to communicate. Your father may be trying to do that. Don't be afraid, many people have gone through this when a loved one dies.

What i think is that your dad is just being playful, or saying that he's here and is still watching over you. Talk to him. That's what i would do.
