I'm 25 and I've been dating this girl for about a year and we enjoy sex alot. We both enjoy the flesh to flesh contact so we don't use protection...just the rhythm medthod. After some discussion, we decided that I should get a vasectomy so that I am able to complete the sex act without "pulling out" to prevent pregancy. I'm sorta on the fence with this but I also want to please my girl. I was looking for some thoughts on the subject.

I need to add that the pill is not an option. My girlfriend refuses to go on it because it will cause her to gain weight. She says that that it NOT an option.

You are too young to get a vasectomy just for the sake of pleasure. It's something that you may regret later...when you marry and perhaps decide to have kids. I know you like the flesh to flesh contact, but do the responsible thing...wear a rubber. Or she can go on the pill, the injection, or use a diaphragm. There are lots of birth control options, and no excuse not to use them!

you are very lucky that a pregnancy has not occured yet.."pulling out" is not a safe method, sperm is found in ALL fluids secreted from the penis.
Why on earth would you consider a vasectomy at your age, your 25 and not even married.
I think the simple and best method would be going to a doctor and getting a prescription for BIRTH CONTROL for your girlfriend. Pills, Patches, Injections, IUD, Norplant..any of those methods are effective and a smarted solution to any that you have mentioned.
Think about yourself and the rest of your life before you continue on the path you are currently on...Be smart, be safe, and dont do something so drastic it could alter your life FOREVER

I think that is kinda selfish on her part. Remember this is a permanent surgery. You will never be able to have kids again. To ask that of a young guy who you are not even married of is very selfish and wrong. Why does she not get a hysterectomy or get her tubes tied. OR easier, why not go on the pill. By the way, your young and both like sex. A vasectomy will not prevent STD. I know you may lover her and not think she would ever cheat on you, but remember it is possible. Lots of "Happily"married couples cheat.

pulling out can still lead to pregancy. You are too young to consider a vasectomy but If you have decided not wanting kids in the future....then go for it

well, me and mine enjoy the flesh on flesh thing too and whatever, but your only 25 and if you don't have kids already you may want them in the futer so think about it, do you or don't you want kids, i never thought i could have kids and now i'm 17 wks pregnante with my bf little girl, and it is amazing. an accident but it's amazing, i wouldn't trade it for anything... anyway just thought i'd give a littel insite, think about it though your only 25 yrs old do you want children later?

You're quite young to be making a life-long decision about a vasectomy! Do you never want children? Why can't she go on the pill or get a diaphragm? If you're on the fence about it, don't do it!

My first reaction is - do you want to have children? This is a huge life decision for any person to make. A medical procedure instead of another option such as IUD, Diaghram, the pill, (all woman's responsibility i know) It feels like lust is driving your dcision to me. Slow the process down and consider options. Good luck

If you do not want kids then have it done, and remember if ever you decide to have kids you can have it reversed as well, its safe, as well you can tell her to go get a tuballigation done as well, so that this way you know there is no chance in hell you will ever have a child and the fun is non stopping, but it sounds like she wants control over you as well, by making you go get this done she has you wrapped around her finger. No way. No no no no way. Maybe if you guys were married. Don't you have kids? If you dont, you are going to want them sooner or later in your life even if you dont think you ever will want them. I think a vasectomy is a very bad decision.

ANd life is a lot more to go . what if ur relationship results in a brawl which will end ur relationship?
as for the girl u can just use protection and enjoy.
