Established in 1979, Friendicos is an organization dedicated to the care of stray animals, especially dogs. With a team of one veterinary doctor and around 12 young volunteers their aim is to reduce the population of stray dogs on the streets of Delhi, for which they sterilize them. Apart from this, they also give medical attention to any stray animal that gets injured in an accident or otherwise. They give shelter to many stray dogs and encourage people to adopt them.
Volunteer work
Friendicos would like volunteers to come over and take care of their inmate dogs. Dog lovers who volunteer to help are encouraged to take the dogs out on a walk, play with them, feed them, help in bathing the dogs or de-ticking them. One can also help a hurt stray animal by calling up Friendicos and reporting about the accident. They send their vehicle to the area and give appropriate medical attention to the animal as soon as possible. They would also appreciate donations in cash or kind like food items. All animal lovers are welcome to contribute the way they can.
They are open all days from 9am - 7:30pm.
