No. Only you can make yourself successful in your career. A college education will, however, give you more opportunities when seeking employment. There are many jobs that require some type of degree before they will even talk to you.

Guarantee? NO

Give you an advantage? YES

It's not about "guarantees" but about "statistical likelihood". You won't be considered for higher paying jobs without a Bachelor's degree. You're less like to advance in a job without a Master's. Are you guaranteed to get this job or advance with all these degrees? Of course not. You must demonstrate other skills and characteristics on top of this. A degree will open the door, but you must walk through the door (by bringing skill, knowledge, aptitude, interest, work ethic....). But without a degree, many jobs won't be available to you.

Get a degree. The Bachelor degree is the new High School degree. And soon the Master's will be the new Bachelor's

Nope, but it sure helps! You, not your degree, guarantee career success. There are many people out there, including big company execs, that do not have a college degree. They've managed to be successful because of who they are, not what they studied. Did you know that on average only 10 % of college graduates actually land a job and career in their degree major? That's rough! Start pounding the pavement, and good luck!

No. I have a degree in Political Science and a minor in Criminal Justice. I live in a city with no jobs that require that type of degree, or any degree for that matter. Anyway, I was going to go to law school, but now I'm working at my husband's business doing the books. I would have had career success if I had gone to law school, but because of my choices, I have no career success.

Success is different for everyone. What does it mean to you?College is important in helping you land the position in the field of your choice, but success depends on many things. Professionalism, personality, attitude, commitment, the way you look and dress, and many other things. Determine what success is to you and get your total package together.

Yes! absolutely! College degrees are worth about $25,00 to $30,000 that was on the CNN news! it's worth getting a college degree, college educated people get paind more and are recognized more by employers... and you get more respect from employers and people ....If u are not educated but smart and are doing something big with your life, that's great too...but I definetly think a college education is very important.

Of course not.

But what a college degree can do is open more doors that may be more difficult to open with a high school diploma.
