I've been reading about the "Lighter life" diet - I'm a little interested, but not sure about it. - there is enough information out there, so I know what it's principles are and how it works, it's not the information I'm after. I've seen the website and loads of comments - everyone's saying it's great and you lose loads of weight on it.

That's all fine - but I'm interested to find out where they're all putting their left over skin???? I can see there are loads of side effects (some nasty ones!!) To lose a stone a month can't be good for you... but I can understand the desperation...

If you've been on the diet, please could you let me know if you had problems with loose skin afterwards??? And, have you kept the weight off for a good year or so???

I started the atkins diet once and carried on for six months. I was a size 20 and after six months size ten.
Never had a problem with loose skin. I had lost appetite whilst on the diet which meant it took me another to years to come back to a size twenty.

I was contemplating going on the diet again but found out recently that eating red meat in large quantities has been proven to increase breast cancer.

The trick whenever u r dieting is to drink a minimum of three litres of water and u wont have a problem with loose skin and dont even bother with moisturisers, they dont even go skin deep, if u know what i mean!!!

I didn't do Lighter Life but i'm doing weight watchers. I can't stick to faddy diets like Slim fast cos i get bored. But i've lost almost 2st in 3 months. I eat 3 meals a day and only snack on fruit and i can honestly say that i'm never hungry. It makes a difference if you go to a club where other people are in the same position as you because theres loads of support avaliable.

Ooh its the dreaded 'D' word! You do know straight away your doomed to fail because you have said that word!!! I used to be a size 22+ and have tried everydiet out there. Im now a size 14 and i didnt use a single magic diet! Loosing weight isnt just about what you do or dont eat or faddy diets that make you feel crap.
