I read in a magazine that clear shampoo is better for hair. Especially flat hair. Is this true or is this just something to get me to buy their products?

also, if clear shampoo is better, then has anyone tried bath & body work's signature shampoo & consitioner??

Clear shampoo generally means that there isnt any fragramce or dyes. If you're into the au natureal thing then thats for you. If you have thin hair then try a daily clarifying shampoo. It pulls out any left over product or conditioners or oil that are in your hair. And generaly these clarifying shampoos are clear. One of my faves is Suave Daily Clarifying. And my other fave is Sunsilk's Antiflat (yellow bottle) shampoo and condtioner (the conditioner wont wiehg your hair down).

Clear shampoo is good in that it takes away the built up. Nowadays, a lot of products contain silicone and cause built up. That said, it all depends on your hair. Some hair really need that extra conditioning to look decent. My suggestion is that use the clear shampoo once in a while, but not always.

Don't put bar soap on your hair. It will dry it out and break. Especially if you are a woman. I have never heard of clear shampoo being better for you hair but it kinda makes sense. But, I would think it would be the composition of the shampoo rather than the color. I use Pureology on my hair and it is purple.

Ivory Bar Soap is wonderful for hair. And inexpensive, too.
