Be really careful. Talk for a long time on the phone first. If you're still comfortable then have him meet you at the mall and bring a friend with you. Just because something seems too good to be true doesn't mean that it is. My husband and I met on eHarmony......just be careful!

As long as you're careful there is nothing to fear from internet dating.

Seven years ago I met someone who appeared to be everything I wanted in a woman on the internet so I did go and meet her.

We were engaged within one year, married within two and still gloriously happy with each other today.

So as long you do ensure that the person being presented to you on the internet is the same as the person in real life, you should have no problems in just treating such a meeting as a regular date.

I have done this before, with mixed results. A few times, I have met some really nice women, and I am still good friends with most of them. A few times, a relationship ignited, but the geographical distance was a factor in the ending of the relationship. My worst experience was meeting a woman for coffee, and finding out she was a hooker! I was shocked! Since then, I really never have explored internet dating much anymore.

Yeah. It works too, just not as often as people would like to believe. I had a great relationship with someone I met online and have met friends through the internet and have almost met them all. I've got contacts all over the country now and have seen quite a few of 'em.

Sure, I don't see why not. Lots of people have met off the net and are happily in love. It's another avenue for meeting like minded people. Just take things slow ok. If I could meet someone that lives near me, i wouldn't pass up the chacnce.

Yes but how d you know anything about them for sureit is too easy to lie online if you do meet the person make it a neutral place at least for the first few months to build a trust then take it where ever it leads

Well when me and my husband was going through our problems I found this man from another country (Egypt) he was so nice and sweet and very passoniate and loving..He told me things that I haven't heard before and made me feel differnent about myself and what I see in myself...I did fall in love with him and I was convienced for a while to go and see him....but it never happend since then me and my husband has mended the fence and are happy again...I haven't heard from him since then...At times when we are lonely and hurt we do tend to turn to someone else to ease the pain that we feel inside not realizing that it is all a fantasy... and it will never be what you want it to be, at this moment I hope that the man that I formally loved is doing fine and I hope for the brief moment he was happy too but I have a life here and so I have to do what is required of me and that is be wife and mother and be at peace and be content.

Ok, I am in a relationship with a wonderful guy who lives miles away......... He is everything I've wanted. You need to make sure he really is the person he says he is- pictures, etc. Ask other people about him. Wait a while too.
Be careful:) and Good Luck:)
God Bless and Be Safe:)

You don't get to know someone on-line. You get to know the image that they put out there for the world to see, which may have no bearing, whatsoever, to who or what they are. Don't be so trusting - don't you read, or listen to, the news?

The world is full of weirdos who are the "perfect person" on-line.
