It means that the causative organisim is resistant to some meds. Those would be the medications that wouldn't help rid u of the infection. Sensitive means that the causitive organisim is treatable by certain antibiotics.

When you have an infection cultured they do what is called sensitivity and Resistance testing, with this they see what antibiotics will work to treat this infection. If it resistant to an antibiotic it will do no good taking it.

Sensitivity is where they test to see what medications your specific bacteria are sensitive to aka what medicine will kill the bacteria that is causing your UTI. When they do a urinalysis they often do a culture and sensitivity. The culture is where they see what bacteria is growing in your urine and the sensitivity is what drug will take care of the killing that bacteria the best.
