Try beer can chicken on the grill. Put water (or beer) in abeer can and stand the chicken in the hollow on the can. Moist and excellent.

The rule is... one hour for every four pounds at a temperature of about 350. Thats about fifteen minutes per pound so for a five pound bird its one hour fifteen minutes.
