Thai Stir fry Chicken and Noodles.
Make a paste from finely chopped garlic, chilli, lemongrass, ginger and coriander.
Slice up 2 chicken breasts and rub the paste into the meat.
Thinly slice up mushrooms, carrots, onions, mange tout, peppers, cabbage (most veg in fact!!)
Fry off the chicken in a frying pan or large saucepan, add the veg once the meat starts to brown.
Cook for 5 mins til veg softening but still a bit crunchy.
Cook the noodles in boling water (medium egg noodles usually take about 5 mins to cook)
Add the cooked Noodles and a half tin of coconut milk.
Gorgeous and enough left over for another day.
Also the spices etc are good for you and baby (but not too much chilli!!)_

Chop a red onion and fry in a little olive oil, when it's nearly ready add a crushed clove of garlic.
Meanwhile cook some cashew nuts in a pot with the lid on in a little butter (not oil) until brown.
Add the cashews to the onions/garlic then add a chopped green pepper, mushrooms, carrot and zuchini.
Mix a cube of vegetable stock in a little water, then add that, half a can of chopped plum tomatoes to the vegetables, and cook, stirring for about 5 - 10 minutes.
Serve with rice that you've squeezed a lemon over when cooked.
Enjoy!

Fresh tomato sauce. I've only ever met one person who didn't like it, even if I burned it or put in too much sugar. If you have garlic, onions, and olive oil lying around, all you have to buy are herbs and passata.
Here's the recipe:
Ingredients:
2 Tbsp olive oil
2 chopped sprigs fresh rosemary
1 chopped sage leaf or 1 pinch dried sage (optional)
1/2 a chopped red onion
4-6 cloves garlic (how much do you like garlic?)
5 or 6 halved cherry tomatoes (optional)
1 litre passata or 1 can tomatoes
Sugar to taste (gets rid of bitterness-about 1-2 Tbsp should be used)
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
1. Simmer the onion and herbs in the olive oil until onions are soft
2. Add the garlic and simmer until onions are transeculant
3. Add the cherry tomatoes and passata
4. Simmer to reduce for about 15 mins.
5. Add the sugar, salt, and pepper
Serve over pasta and enjoy!

Buy a large flat mushroom. Put it in a baking dish with a little chopped garlic, black pepper, some chopped parsley or other herbs (maybe dried oregano or chilli flakes) a large knob of butter in the cap and a knob or two of butter in the dish. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes or so til the butter has melted in the dish and sizzling a little. Then take out-cut open and spread on one side a ciabatta bun with a little dijon mustard. Put the mushroom on that slice and drizzle the juices on the other. If you have any,pop some rocket into the sandwich and enjoy.

Are you craving anything? When I was pregnant, I could only decide on the day what I wanted for dinner, cos my cravings went from loving something one day, to hating it the next!! I was terribly sick during my pregancy too, so at times I could only stomach salad and fruit! I tended to love things like jacket spud with cheese and beans, pasta with a tomato sauce and lots of cheese on top, spaghetti hoops on toast....lots of simple things basically!! If someone else was cooking, then I'd love a nice roast, casserole, shepherds pie etc...or of course, the unbeatable take away!! I gained 4.5stone during both pregnancies, and after reading this back, I can now see why!!
Enjoy whatever you decide!

Invest in a cheap steamer. You can't go wrong. Fish in 12 minutes. You can buy it reduced in a supermarket as long as you eat it the same day. Look after baby !
