You are very wrong. I am a trainer and I help people to live healthy life and one of the results they can see is reducing their fat. Firstly fat people try to exercise more than the natural born skinny people, they seek help from us. Secondly, they maybe once ate a lot but because they don't like being fat, they try to eat less (which actually slows down their metabolism)
One more thing, some people are born with health problems and that makes them unable to do exercise like a normal person (you and me) and it results in their being fat, not the other way round like what you mentioned. I don't blame you for not knowing that people nowadays rarely get a balanced diet, and they suffer from mineral deficiency or imbalance, what happens next is craving for food and sugar.

The reason people keep asking this question is because obesity and overweight has become a big problem in this country and is weighing down heavy on the health system. I feel that it is justified to ask that question. How come people are annoyed with smokers, but accept obesity as normal? They critizice smokers for knowing that they're damaging their bodies, but doing it anyway. Same thing with obesity! I know people's feelings get hurt with questions like these, and it's true that many people out there can't control weight gain because of disease or certain medications or even not being able to afford nutritious food. But the rest is just plain lazy and makes excuses. No one said it's easy. What I can't understand is...if being overweight is so awful to some people, why don't they do something against it?? Wouldn't that be the greatest motivation?
The reason I am taking this standpoint is that my personal space has been violated by obese people on numerous occasions. For example, it has happened quite often that I've been sitting next to a fat person on a plane, and even though I paid for a full plane seat, I only got to use half of it. Try squeezing into half a plane seat on a 10-hour transatlantic flight, with someone else's thighs touching yours the entire time. I'm sure most of you would not be comfortable with that.

Sometimes overweight people do exercise, but there's a little something called genetics, people like you, and an underactive thyriod. That's why they have to work really hard to get the weight off and work harder to keep it off. Sometimes there are overweight people who eat less than someone who is considered to be in the healthy weight range. So it's not always that they just eat so much it may be something that they can't do even i fthey try or it could be that they want to but they are too afraid of criticizing people.

dont be cruel and dont assume you know that all fat people eat too much. some people are overweight because of medical reasons, or physical llimitations that make a lot of exercise impossible. How do you know for sure if you are skinny you are normal, some overweight people are very intelligent and very normal as you say. Lots of people have conditions beyond their control or things they haven't been able to find help with

Not everyone that is overweight is that way because of eating. Yes alot are, but some have medical conditions that cause them be to overweight. Some take medicine that cause them to be that way also. Some have babies and just can't loose that weight for some reason. I think your question is alittle harsh, as I'm sure your not perfect.

It's emotional I guess.
But, I agree. They definitely need to take take it easy on the eating...and exercise a little.
I never had this opinion before. In fact I used to feel sorry for fat people, UNTIL I made a friend who happened to be really fat. I could not stand how she ate and how much she ate. I now have a different outlook.

You've got alot to learn my friend. It's not all about what you put in your mouth, or even how much, in alot of cases, Certain medications can also attribute to alot of weight gain, such as the drug Prednisone. I'm not making excuses, but there are more reasons for weight gain than you think.

its like when you are addicting to something. once you start eating you can never stop. Just take a chewing gum and you won t be hungry that much. they never come normal because they never try. at first exercising is hard but if you really want to get thin you will do it for sure.
