Ok, nice ...business like clothing.
No open shoulders...a nice dress (nothing revealing and nothing that's low cut), nice blouse and knee length skirt.....slacks with a nice top (again nothing too tight or too low cut).
and the most important thing of all.....is your smile........they will look for the qualities within you...not what you wear...and you are very thoughtful using the word appropriate.
Congratulations - you are a keeper...and that's what he's trying to do.....just be yourself...after a year, he thinks you're a keeper. You are a real treasure. Your family raised you right, and you raised yourself right!!! You have qualities that he sees and is very proud to let others see your qualities.
..........Keep Smiling Kid!
May GOD bless all of your dreams!

It depends on the faith of your boyfriend. In some churches it is not appropriate for a woman to wear pants. I would wear a modest skirt or dress. When in doubt, it is always okay to ask your boyfriend about the dress code.

Cloths.... cover most everything but still show a little skin. Stay away from short skirts. Wear something classy or classic and fairly casual depending on what kind of church you are going to. I go ever Sunday in jeans and a nice button down shirt, or a t-shirt. Try to dress to match your boyfriend. Not match the color of his cloths but the dress... him in shorts and you in a dress suit would not be cool.

True believers dress in ways that dont draw attention to themselves, so wear a nice blouse, make sure it is not see through, showing cleavage, or too form-fitting and wear a skirt that come to no higher than the top of your knees. It's not so much about pleasing people but dressing in a way that is modest and brings honor to God. You will be blessed for using good taste. And if you have a Bible, bring it too.

Depends on many different things. What weather, what church, and what family. If possible, find out what the other family members will be wearing and dress accordingly. Just something simple, more dress than casual usually is fine.

Just wear what makes you comfortable, THAT's what's important.
People will say to dress nice and don't wear jeans and YADDA YADDA YADDA. Well I'm not saying they are wrong I'm just saying that it's important that you wear what makes YOU comfortable, not what makes everyone else feel comfortable. Also, it better shows who you are, if they are TRUE believers, they will just be happy you are there and won't judge you on appearence. Keep that in mind.
By the way, sounds like you have a good man there. I hope your church experience is great!

Dress smart casual will do. Not miniskirt, not short & slipper. Oh, buy some sweets to keep u awake. Especially 1st time visitor, may not get use to listen and understand what pastor said. So just bring sweets along. Sweets also help to clear mouth breath.
Don't be offended, just giving you idea. I will pray for you to have a sweet and present meeting in church and fresh encounter with GOD who loves everyone of us.
GOD bless

given the different mores/norms expressed in churches today you should ask your boyfriend what's appropriate. some churches are traditional and formal; others are more non-traditional and casual.

Depends on the church, but I would say almost anything is appropriate as long as you don't look like a skank or a homeless person (nothing against skanks OR homeless people).
