Both men and women use somewhat different methods of manipulating each other. Telling a woman what she wants to hear is one method a man might use. Be careful.

First of all you have to evaluate the man that tells you this. You have to consider his age, his background, his lifestyle, his past relationships (if you can find out anything), his maturity, his demeanor, his behaviour towards women in all age groups, and all that you can find out about him. When you have a very big crush on someone, especially when you are a very young woman, or teenager, it is very easy to think that you are in love with that person, and to think that they are with you. So what you have to do is definitely consider a person's actions more than their words. Real love is deeper and is more than just butterfly feelings in your stomach. Real love is unconditional, it is truthful regardless, it is not deceitful. Real love is selfless. Also time is also a good indicator of real love. Has this person stuck with you through the thick and thin? Has this person accepted your flaws, always been faithful to you? Is he responsible? If you've only been with this person for a short while, it is too soon for you to even consider whether he loves you or vice versa. Usually people confuse intense attraction, and great chemistry, or other heightened emotions with love. Alot of people nowadays have a very distorted understanding of what love really is. Many men will tell a woman they love her, even after only a few dates, perhaps just to get her to go to bed, other men will say it just to probe her feelings for them, and other men just don't really know what their saying, and others will say anything just to flatter you or get you to submit to them or do something for them. That is why I recommend that you be very wise and this wisdom in discerning the true feelings of a man for you only comes with time and it might even take some hit and falls. However you can save yourself from unnecessary heartbreak if you decide to invest more time and effort towards making yourself the best you can be and preparing yourself in all ways, learning to love yourself first, and then after you have grown more spiritually, physically, emotionally, then you will have a stronger foundation and you will attract better men, and even your taste in men will be better, and you will easily be able to separate a great man from a loser. It is very hard to be alone, but if you use that time to grow as I explained previously, alot of the problems or questions you have now will be very clear to you and easy to avoid once you have developped yourself and love yourself truly.

Sometimes the love word gets abused, but we have to have the wisdom to know when it's real. Actions speak louder than words. If you feel that you are being put on, simply follow your own best judgement and no one will ever be able to hurt you. Being gullible is both painful and dangerous. Every human being has been properly equipped with instincts, all we have to do is use our God given abilities.

Some guys will say anything to get what they want. Take your time and get to know the person before you fall too deep.Remember that actions speak louder than words so if he truly loves you he will act like he does....not just say the words.

a man says i love you, to a woman, because they are either really in love with that person or they just want to gain sexual favors. or both. lolz.depends really. only you can tell if your man is being sincere or just pulling your strings. it's okay to be cautious, that is fine. but don't keep thinking that the man you are with are like the rest. always give the beneift of the doubt. as they say, innocent until proven guilty. lol. goodluck in finding THE one. ;)

Some men tell women what they think they want to hear instead of the truth. For some reason, men think that lying hurts less than the truth.

Most men are romantic at heart and can go to any extent to fulfill their desire of having the other sex by their side. Now, whats a petty lie of saying "I love you" if that helps.

some not all men but some say it to us so that we feel that secure that he really does love us, as well sometimes they think that is what we want to hear as well, if they would only be truthfull to us and tell us they do not feel that right now but they do care for us would be just as great, but sometimes as well to them its just a word to get into your pants as well.
