Yes, but there's no truth in it. Man wrote that so he could take control of "his" woman.
This sort of form of treatment of women has been phased out due to society prevailing over religion. I hope to see this trend continue.

Did God say that, or a man? The Book says Elijah was the Greatest man that
ever lived. But he was still a man, and had the passions of a man.
Is it sexist to call God a He or a She? Maybe, if one insists others do the same.
But isn't it also sexist to OBJECT to someone calling God a He or a She?
Sprituality transcends all those petty human nature things. Trying to destroy other peoples self-respect, foolishly thinking it will help us find our own.
Our Creator is complete. It's not until the Lifeforce leaves the Source of Life,
that it breaks down into what we understand as the as the masculine and
feminine. Our spirit is made of both these aspects, and we CHOSE to take on the role of male or female in whatever reality we are currently in.
The Serenity prayer is a good affirmation to help us keep the balance between
the masculine and feminine within our spirit.
God, ( or if you prefer just) Grant me the serenity, to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

The Bible is only setting up spiritual authority because the woman is to be the man's helper.
Gen 2:20 And Adam gave names to all the cattle, and to the birds of the air, and to every animal of the field. But there was not found a suitable helper for Adam.
God Realized that Adam couldnt do all that he was called to do, and realized that we men need all the help we can get, so he created the woman. She is not to be in spiritual authority over the man and is not to question his authority.

No, God is not sexist. At different periods of time God has given men and women different roles to perform. Just because a woman is not to teach does not mean she is less than man, they may have an equally important, but different duty. The scriptures are difficult at times to understand, but from the beginning, God put man and woman on level ground as equal heirs.

No.
Have you ever been repeated verbatim by someone to someone else, and they totally misconstrued your statement?? This is still humanity.
Paul also stated "we know in part therefore we prophecy in part. We CAN misunderstand a Word from God.
This is evident in the fact that God appointed Deborah as judge over Israel, and NO it was NOT because there were no men, it is because GOD APPOINTED HER!, and the first woman evangelist was Mary of Magdelena.
When scripture "seems" to contradict itself, search out the God Balance.

I don't need to consider any passage from your bible:
NO.
GOD is not sexist. That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
Why don't you put down the bible and think for yourself.
Does it make any sense to you in your heart of hearts that GOD, the creator of this all, would be sexist?
good luck

God isn't sexist, it is the people who wrote the bible that used a male perspective and used that to subjugate women. It is just a stronger argument if it comes from God.

This was written in the context of the culture at the time. Culture has changed and women have proven to be excellent in authority.
