the Torah? If he had really wanted to explain better Gods word to those who did not understand, why didn't he just do that? I think he was fooled by Satan that Gabriel came down, I think it was a fallen angel leading him away from God and forming a belief against God's word. Who agrees?

Person responding with no name - Then why don't they honor the Bible. All I see is Bashing of the Bible and praiseing of Mohammed even more than ALLAH. If you reply that Christians praise Jesus more, well that becasue Jesus is God in the Flesh, so we only worship ONE GOD

Girlfunny - yes , the Bible is very much alive - yet in Islam, it is said that the Quran REPLACES the Bible becasue they say the Bible is corupt, which is a lie. They are suppose to hold it sacred, but they do not, or very few do. As I said, I see about 99% bashing of the Bible.

Salawat78 - God didn't need a new book to guide life - he already has the perfect book, the Holy Bible - he did not call the Bible useless ever - he called his LAW!

Gmark - your wrong - I run from noone and you are not a challenge to me. News flash - Christians believe in ONE GOD, that ONE GOD shows himself in the manifestation of THREE personas - The Father - Creator, The Son -Jesus Christ - The Word in Flesh - The Holy Spirit - sent to lead our life and guide and counsel us. Islam peaceful - that is not how they portray themselves. They peacefully blow up themselves and others, the peacefully flew into the twin towers, they peacefully calle for Israel to be pushed in the sea, they peacefully call you to follow Islam or die at their hands, they peacefully behead innocent people .... should I continue? I will say I haven't read entire Quran, but I have been reading it, and it makes me even sure of my own belief!

Ma'am, Muhammed's own history is a very revealing one because everyone knows that he was of a tribe that worshipped the Moon God or Goddess - Allah.

Some Christian missionary went over and tried to convert him, creating this whole mess.

In his 50's, Muhammed married a 9 year old girl whom he'd "known" since she was 6!?

The record of his violence is very well documented and known; as much as his intolerence and bigorty are notorious.

Islam has been known to have exterminated more races and ethnic communities than Hitler could ever hope to have even come to the beginning of.

Todays Islamic Fanatics are making their "Religion" even more "popular".

But, then, what can you expect of these people who will still say that all that was "justifiable"?

Leave it time, ma'am. Soon enough, the rest of the World will get to the point where it will retaliate and we will be, thankfully, rid of this disease.

Muhammed did not eliminate anything. The Bible is tampered with. Everyone knows that. Maybe if you took your head out of your biased little world you might know that as well. The bible has been messed with countless times. Why do you think there are so many types of Christianity? Everyone re-arranges or re-writes it to fit their personal liking. & that's the truth. People in every religion (mostly in Abrahamic religions) do this.

Islam means peace. Muslims are people of peace. Now, you mention all these things about how they peacefully did this and that. How about Christians? How they 'peacefully' blow up buildings as well? Or how they 'peacefully' abuse their children? Or how they 'peacefully' murder people? Or how about how all the 'religious' Catholic pastors 'peacefully' rape little girls? I don't think Christianity is bad, because it's not; nor are Catholics. But every religion has their bastards and theres nothing no one can do about it. It doesn't mean you turn against them.

Just because someone believes in one thing doesn't mean you discriminate against them. Just because someone is not "All- American" doesn't mean you have to hate them. Just because someone is not White does not mean you shouldn't sit by them on the bus. Racism, prejudism, genderism; they're all the same, so is what your doing.

Not everyone in the world is alike. And not everyone is blessed with a good mind or a pure heart. The only thing you can do is be a good person and not discriminate against others.

I hope you understand now. & please don't believe things you hear from the media, from your peers, or any others. People have a knack for naturally twisting the truth without notice. It makes the story sound more interesting that's why we do it. But it also corrupts the truth, which corrupts our minds.

It's good that you have so much belief in your religion but don't be close-minded toward other religions just because their different.

Differences between two parties creates complications which creates hatred; in the end we're surrounded by bloodshed.

He did not do this. If he had done so he would have been going against the teaching of the Qu'ran which states (in paraphrase):
1.The book (Bible ) has come from God.
2. It will be preserved by God.
3. If muslims do not understand any of the teachings in the Qu'ran, they should consult the people of the book (Bible).
This means that when muslims claim that the Bible has been corrupted/changed, they are also going against what is written in their own scriptures.

Incidentally, The angel Gabriel did not actually come down, he is supposed to have appeared to Mohammed in dreams/visions. Also he did not know it was Gabriel, but after telling one of his relatives about the dreams, that relative, who at the time was a Christiasn convert, said that it must have been the angel Gabrial.
It's all very dubious.

If you only read anything but the Bible over and over and over, you'd know that Islam recognizes and respects all monotheistic (look it up) religions, always has; and that the Qur'an mentions Mary and Jesus and a whole other slew of characters from before. You use your religion as an excuse for your ignorance and proclaim everything else to be blasphemy of one sort of another, you'll probably even turn off my response because you freak out from, and then refuse, anything that challenges your views, even when, or maybe ESPECIALLY when it is true. And so uninformed, you confuse genocidal politics (islamic countries and/or organizations fighting over Israel and the control of oil) with genuine and tolerant religion (Islam). Learn something for a change - you're so horribly ignorant, like this BigB character, people like you two are the reason we have all these fights and wars - this is exactly the way that Islamic fundamentalists and terrorists view Christianity and Judaism, you're their Christian twins.

And who gave u the right to bash on us and our prophet like this , ur question and ur answer reveals ur ...........,

the prophet (peace be upon him) never said that , and we didn't bash over any one of other beliefs, and muslims believe in the bible and the torah( the original ones which arenot present now), it is one of our basic beliefs to believe in the all books came from god to his prophets (including jesus , peace be upon them all)

b4 u write something know what are u talking about first and have proof for that ,

on the contrary , if u read the biography of the prophet u will see who nicely treating the ppl of the book(that is how they are called in the qu'ran for the christians and the jews)even if in urging with them ,and even the qur'an orders us to treat them in good way in many verses, BUT u just need to read,

as for the corruption here is some proofs , see them urself:

What do you mean?

Think about it, the story goes like this:

God's plan was to Get rid of all the other useless books that were changed.

God needed an Uncorruptible book to last till the end of time.

So God Sent Muhammad (s.a.w.) and gave him the Quran.

Muhammad had nothing to do with this scheme.

He doesn't Eliminate books, God Does.

He never Said, NOW I DON'T WANT YOU TO READ THE BIBLE.

He Said, God brought down the Holy Quran as a Perfect Guide for you, For surely the others have been changed by the hands of man.

~~~~~~~~~~
Theme of the Story:
Muhammad (Peace be upon him) Does not Eliminate Books.
Allah Does .(God)
there are 4 major books of islam --
Zabur or Psalam revealed to prophet David -pbuh
Torah to Prophet Moses-pbuh
Injil or Bible to Prophet Jesus-pbuh
Qu'ran to Prophet Muhammed-pbuh
"and those of u who worship Muhammed know that he was a messenger and messengers have died before him, but he who worships Allah remember that He is All-Eternal and He will NEVER DIE." -- Holy Qu'ran.
Al-Ikhlas | 4 verses | Absoluteness سورة الإخلاص
Sura #112 | Makkah
1 Say: He is Allah, the One!
2 Allah, the eternally Besought of all!
3 He begetteth not nor was begotten.
4 And there is none comparable unto Him.
and please read islam as we muslims dont worship anyone else other than Allah/God. Muhammed-pbuh was aman and this was confirmed. we never made the mistake of giving a man an equal staus of God. may be u should get to know a little more.
i will pray for you.
Upon writing the Qur'an Mohammed did not eliminate God's holy word, he wrote what you could call another new testament. It is the same way that Christians wrote the New Testament and told the Jews that they should follow what God has told them. Read the Qur'an and you will see that Jesus, Moses, and Abraham are recognized as prophets as well as Mohammed.
u are a fool... Muhammad was illiterate who was very uneducated, because at the time the arabs were very very poor. Yet, you accuse him of writing gods words, we respect the torah and consider it a book, and also the bible, we think the quran is the last book sent by god to the arabs. I respect your believes, so in turn respect mine and we will have no problems
I'm sure there's a lot of Jews that feel the same way about Jesus. Religion is a never ending war because everyone thinks they're right.
