37Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

38Whosoever, therefore, shall be ashamed of Me and of My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him also shall the Son of Man be ashamed when He cometh in the glory of His Father with the holy angels."

Jesus

Amen to that. I'd rather be the poorest soul alive and know Jesus as more then just LORD and Savior but as my friend, then to have it all and yet gain nothing eternally except separation and pain and worse in the lake of fire for not knowing him. That's why some will here "Well done good and faithful one enter into the joy of the LORD", and others will hear "Depart from me I never knew you." It's all about knowing Jesus personally. He took the time to die for us on the cross in our place. Shouldn't we take the time to KNOW trully KNOW him? It's all about Jesus.

Never were there truer words spoken. To those who don't belive in a soul, think of it as a sense of self. What would you gain if you betray your very self to be popular? A life of unhappiness. Should we sell our soul here, we have nothing but emptiness and unhappiness ever after.

Great observation! Especially after these elections...

I believe God is testing this on His people now!

We were so intense in our prayers to win the majority, then once we had it we became lax, and thought that God would not take it away. We were not so intense in our prayers this time(self included) and we are reaping the result.

This is going to be a stronger test now! We are not the majority, but we still have a voice! and a God who is bigger than they are!!!
We need to be getting in their faces with righteousness, the way they were getting in our faces with wanting special rights for sin!!!

OUR LORD HAS PROMISED US ETERNAL LIFE WITH HIM...

We KNOW that our lives and this world shall end. Why not accept the true one, believe in his word and know that in the end he will make it alright.

Profit = Whole World

Cost = Soul, i.e., nonexistent myth.

The same people who invented and sold pet rocks had the same economic model. Come to think of it, also bottled water.

Oh for pete's sake, confine your blasted preaching to your church on Sunday! The rest of us don't need to and certainly don't want to hear/read it on this forum.
