I'm a cooking class spv at SHARP Company Indonesia. I plan to make a recipe book, which one of the contents is Red Hot Chilli Pepper Steak with Mushroom sauce. I use microwave oven for grilling the steak. But as many I try, the steak comes dry. Not juicy. Same thing happened to the ribs I grilled. Need help here from you experts. Thx..

While you can cook a steak in a microwave it is not the best nor tastiest way to do that besides, it is not really grilling. Grilling means you are cooking steak over an open fire and a microwave doesn't even approach the concept of grilling. Try searing it in a frying pan with some butter and then finishing in the micro but it won't taste the same as grilled.

it's hard to make a juicy steak in a microwave oven, as the heat is distributed evenly, but in large amounts. with grilling a steak, you can control of how high or low the flame is. With baking, you can sear the steak and keep the juices is. Even pan-frying a steak, it helps keeps the juices in because it seals the outside and distributes YOUR amount of heat.

Try browning each side of the steak in a pan with a tiny bit of olive or vegetable oil, then doing it in the microwave oven. Like I said, though, it's not easy. you'd be better off buying very small frying steaks and doing them like that, so that it takes less time and does not dry out as quickly, as opposed to buying larger, thicker steaks.

How To Make Steak Oven

Sorry - steak is just not going to come out juicy in a micro oven - it is difficult to reheat steak without drying it out! Look around for cooking "pots" that help the process be more like roasting vs microwaving?? I've seen them for bacon/pot roast, etc. Good luck.

It's really difficult to get a good steak from a microwave. The heat is too intense. In addition, cooking meat from raw in a microwave will ruin the natural flavor of the meat. Grilling and broiling are really the two best ways.

I just bake them at around 300F until they're done, which takes at least an hour. Slow or long cooking is about the only way for them to be tender. I like them with the traditional applesauce, or with Thai sweet chili sauce. Or even apple jelly if I have that around. Sweet things go well with pork.
