About 2 days ago it started with her peeing and then having diarreha in her crate, then yesterday morning i feed her and she ate very well and then at lunch she had thrown up and after i got home from work she had thrown up again. Then i could tell she didnt feel good and i knew it was serious. so i gave her 9cc of pepto (recomended 1cc for every 5 lbs) (she weighs 50 lbs.) at 6 pm and she was just lying around but not getting sick just feeling bad. and at 1 am she started throwing up, like every hour and then she pooped and it was direahha and it didnt smell like your normal dog poo. it was bad! she continued to throw up every hour or so to where she had nothing else to throw up. this morning she drank alot of water and she couldnt hold that down but she keeps going back to the water so i know thats a good sign. what do i do, does anybody have any home remedies to try. the vet is just so expensive but i will probably end up taking her though.

You should take the pup to the vet's. Our lab puppy had the same symptoms and the vet had to put her down because we waited to long...we only waited 3 days then gave up on home remedies and took her in. Puppies are very prone to serious illnesses and no illness should be taken lightly, it's just the same with children, you wouldn't wait 3 days before you took your child in. I know this doesn't help much, but if you love the pup, it's better to be safe than sorry. Take care, and good luck.

If you have to pill your dog - put the tablet in a ham or cheese flat, and make a follow up piece so he gobbles down the first one, and concentrates on the second yummy bit. Voila - pill gone. However, it sounds as if the syrup is the wormer, and the pill maybe an antibiotic. So provided he gets the wormer, he should return to normal pretty fast. Have you had a fecal test done? That could point to more than just worms - and you don't need to see worms for them to have a load. I think your vet needs to see your puppy again - and maybe do a blood workup, and scan his tummy. If he's deteriorating obviously they haven't sorted out what's wrong - and actually unless he's certain about worms, it's never a good idea to worm a sick puppy! If you are not happy about what this vet is doing for your puppy, or not doing, go for a second opinion, or switch vets!! Leaving him like this isn't on, and at the very least, the vomiting needs to be shut down, before he dehydrates which is a real possibility, and serious, if he's throwing back any water he's taking, he could welll need to go on a drip to rehydrate him. Add - NO MILK - unless it's goats milk which is close in make up to b itch milk - he won't be able to tolerate cows milk.

The puppy sounds like it has parvo virus and you must work quickly.Takeaway all food and water and give it the baby non flavored pediolyte, this will keep her from dehydrating, you may have to force feed it to her,a small amount at a time. When pets are neausus they will drink a lot of water.Don't try to force her to eat,as it will cause her to throw up again. The sooner you get your pet to vet the better her chances are for survival if she has got parvo. If she isn't up to date on her vac, this could be the problem. She will need to be hospitalized and given IVs for several days in order to survive,as parvo is a very terminal virus if left untreated. If vet is out of question, try boiling some chicken, cut into small pieces and puree it along with some broth off of the chicken, most pets will eat this when they won't eat anything else.Only do this after her stomach appears settled with the pediolyte for about 24 hours.

You have got to take her there immediately. Diarrhea that lasts more than 24 hours is an emergency. Dehydration is something that can be very dangerous.

It's expensive, but everything is. I'm sure your veterinary can make payment arrangements. The only concern should be the welfare of your obviously very sick puppy. Self diagnosing in this case isn't going to work. Let her be seen by a professional so that she can get the correct care.

Good luck, hope it all turns out for you both.

I so understand about the vet bills, I just bought a puppy and spent quite a bit of money on her and after I had her 5 days she got sick with a cold and I waited to see if it would clear up on it's own. It got worse, turned into pneumonia and took her to the vet. She is finally better after 3 days in vet and 4 weeks of meds that cost me over $600. Please take her she could die from a simple illness. Ask your vet to work with you on the bill, my did. Good Luck!!!

Take her to the vet - you can never be too careful - maybe she has ate / drank something she shouldnt of had etc..

Puppies are expensive things and should be taken to the vets regularly - even when you cant afford it

Maybe you should look into insurance for your dog - to help out with costs if it requires treatment

You really should take the dog to the vet. It could be a number of different things. It could be a stomach virus or maybe something is wrong with her kidney's or intestines.

Good Luck, I hope she feels better soon.

sounds like parvo. If you are really attached to the pup, bite the bullet and get her into the vet NOW!!!!! the longer you delay, the more likely she'll suffer a horrible death. I've lost a puppy to parvo before and it's not pretty.

I had a puppy that got sick just like this and it turned out to be Parvo. Take your puppy to see your vet to get a proper diagnosis. If it is parvo, she needs medical treatment and won't survive without it.
