I doubt it. Since you have liability only there is no reason for your insurance company to get involved. You must get compensated by going through small claims court. Good luck!

Liability insurance covers you if you cause an accident and damage someone else's property. Therefore your insurance would not be involved unless you have coverage for collision, in which case they will pay minus your deductible, or uninsured motorist coverage.
If you have neither of those, all is not lost. Get an estimate of what it will take to repair your vehicle, contact the person at fault and demand restitution for your loss. If they refuse to pay, you can institute court proceedings against them. If you prevail -- and it's likely you will given the police report sets blame on them --you will get a court order for them to pay. If they have any assets, job, bank account, property, you can file a lien on that property until you are paid. If (the usual case when someone has no insurance or license) they have nothing, you have just had a non-reimbursed loss which may be deductible on this year's taxes.

Liability coverage includes uninsured motorist coverage for bodily injury and property damage.
Hire a lawyer that does personal injury. It might take a while for your insurance company to pay for the damage to the vehicle and thats because they have to ensure that the driver and/or owner of the vehicle did not have insurance. You would open an uninsured motorist property damage claim for your vehicle. And an uninsured motorist bodily injury claim for his damages.
What's going to happen is that once your son gets compensated by your insurance company for his bodily injury, which will be the last thing, your insurance company will sue the driver of the other vehicle on their own for all the money they had to lay out.
Go get a lawyer and if he gives you any problems, then he is an incompetent individual and you should find someone who will represent you right.

The person at fault with the accident will be responsible for the damages, your son's insurance would of covered the damages IF he was liable for damages which he was not. I sure california requires a vehicle to be insured which would mean the owner of the vehicle also had a responsibility. you may want to contact an attorney if your damages are high. good luck and hope your son is okay

Insurance companies will reject any claim. If they reject there is the possibility you'll walk away and accept the rejection. Keep pushing back. I'm gathering your car is not worth much if you don't have collision. Keep pushing back. The advice of getting the police report is a good one, However the fact that no charges were made is unfortunate for you.

depending on your state statutes your insurance company may help go after other party.but chances are slim due to the fact that there is only liability on policy.if there was comp and coll on policy they would.they most likely wont due to not having to pay for your veh to be repaired.in some states the state will suspend the other partys drivers license until they pay for damages to victim.meaning they may pay for your damages and the suspend the other partys license until money is paid back.my recomendation would be to check with your insurance agent first they may be able to offer some help.or file claim, and talk to adj.

Only if they pay something on your behalf. Since he has liability and no collision, the only chance of them paying is if your son's accident qualifies him for uninsured motorost property damage coverage. Otherwise, your insurance cannot pursue someone legally if they have not made a payment on your behalf.

You're insurance will have to pay for your car, but will then get re-embersed by the other driver, but it may take a while to get the money.

No, they will not. You only pay them for covering you in case you are responsible for the accident.
