A man lives on the top floor of a building. When he is with someone or it is raining he goes straight to the top floor. All other times he gets out at the seventh floor and walks. Why?

Cos he is too short, but can manage if he has someone else or the umbrella to reach the top floor. Very good.

Cos he is too little to reach the higher buttons on his own. Ah.
(he pushes it with umbrella when it's raining, why can't he always take umbrella - i don't know)

oh it must be because he's a wee bit short to reach beyond the 7th button....poor fellow needs to learn to carry a walking stick or umbrella all the time...:)
