Saudi court sentences rape victim to 90 lashes
A Saudi court has sentenced a gang rape victim to 90 lashes of the whip because she was alone in a car with a man to whom she was not married. The sentence was passed at the end of a trial in which the al- Qateef high criminal court convicted four Saudis convicted of the rape, sentencing them to prison terms and a total of 2,230 lashes.
The four, all married, were sentenced respectively to five years and 1,000 lashes, four years and 800 lashes, four years and 350 lashes, and one year and 80 lashes.
A fifth, married, man who was stated to have filmed the rape on his mobile phone still faces investigation. Two others alleged to have taken part in the rape evaded capture.
Saudi courts take marital status into account in sexual crimes. A male friend of the rape victim was also sentenced to 90 lashes for being alone with her in the car.

It just follows the pattern of the sick islamic society--- they punish and hold down the very sex who was chosen to bear all their race. They take away the rights of women. They ALWAYS look for a reason to blame the women. I am by no means a feminist. I have oserved this for a very long time.
I wonder sometimes if the men of the country feel threatened by women??? I respect my husband, he is the head of the household OUT OF RESPECT not out of fear. These men will NEVER know this feeling. That poor woman was abused again by the very system that should have protected her. I do not think ther "religion" is so great if all it teaches is to dominate through fear.

Can anyone quote a passage in the Koran that deals with punishment of the rape victim?
Which sura?
I have found several that give the punishment for rapist though.
Is this going to be another one of those "I heard it on Fox so it must be true" things. You know what I mean, the ones people believe without fact checking?

And the democrats want to make "peace" with these people? There will be no peace until we destroy this sick culture. It is a cult, not a religion.

1.I prefer the True Justice of the One True God, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
2. Rape is a crime of anger not lust.
3.Perhaps if the anger and hatred of their god were not so deeply engrained in them from birth, these things would not happen.
~to MCHummer...That law was to deter any man from having sex with a woman outside of marraige. It was intended to make him "think twice" before DEFILING her. In other words, "if he wanted her that bad he better be ready to marry her."
Because she would be shunned by all other men because she was not a virgin anymore.
OH! THAT THIS LAW WOULD STILL BE IN EFFECT!!! Our society is saturated with the consequences of the opposite!!!

Under Islamic law, a rape victim must have four male witnesses to attest to the crime. Otherwise, she is guilty of filing a false report.
It's the law.

Islamic laws were made to suit Terrorist Muhammad's evil intentions.
If you observe in islam, men have superior rights than women. Men are honored and given unjust power more than women. Women are victimized more than rewarded. And because of who - ALLAH (Muhammad's Cover).
Muhammad mixed together all the religious practises of his time and made Islam to become famous and rule the suckers of his time.
I cannot believe we still have them around today.

Thats terrible... Can you post more information. I heard about this on FOX news. So she really got 90 lashes for being raped?
