I subscribe to the european theory on this.
Nothing above the neck. Little on the wrists, spritz on the center of the chest.
And in the words of Jude Law's Alfie, a spash on Big Ben, because you never know where the day may take you.
I'm also very particular about -what- cologne to wear. Curve by Claireborn always gets a nice response. Anything Armani, but especially Black Code and Acqua di Gio.
Things with that sensuous smell about them... nothing too musky or fruity.

I think the expression is"if it smells like fish,eat the dish,if it smells like cologne leave it alone"-I always took it to mean that another guy was there before you,but that's just my understanding.

"When you smell clogne leave others alone and run behind the clogne".
