I came down with a stomach bug the beginning of this week and missed work Tuesday. I'm pregnant and my husband and two small kids hadn't shown any signs of getting it so I was beginning to think it was just really bad morning sickness. Now, my husband is home sick and this morning my kids (2 1/2 and 11 months) were both acting far more sluggish than normal. My kids are at the babysitter's right now and have not actually started throwing up or anything yet. Should I ask off at lunch and go home to my family or wait it out until I get off because I missed Tuesday?

Baby1- thanks a lot of that... if you'd re-read my question, my kids have not gotten sick yet. They may not even get it. Who knows? I'll be dam*ed if I'd be sitting here if they were sick. That's why I'm asking this question. But, hey- thanks for your response!

Wait untill you get off work. If your family needs you they can call you at work and ask that you come home. That always looks better with the boss than if you just ask off.

I'd probably stay until the end of the day and stay home with my kids tomorrow. You need your rest and your kids need you when they are sick. If they aren't throwing up yet, they may need you more tomorrow.

If they haven't gotten sick yet, I'd save it for when they've gotten sick. That way you can be there.
