and allowed to harden into the cast
some of the newer type casts are made of fiberglass

Gauze permated with plaster of paris but, more commonly, casts are made of fiberglass.

When my son broke his arm, he got a fiberglass cast, it was lighter than plaster.

plaster. Mix it up and put it over the sock they put on first and you have a cast when it dries.

It can be made of alot of things. It can be made out of fiber glass, plaster and cotton, air splints.
