That's very complicated. For some things it is a "no-brainer" like hurting, or killing people is evil. But alot of other choices are more of a gray area and are often relative to the situation and people involved. Hopefully we just follow our hearts and try not to do hurtful things. Trying to live a selfless life is not natural, but it makes for a calm existance, if one can be happy in the happiness of those he/she is putting above their own.

The "Road to Hell" is paved with good intentions!
Sorry, I'm a Libra, and I always argue the other side of a situation.
Helps me keep my equilibrium.
The human being is a Paradox. We are both a physical and a spiritual being.
Therefore, our world is full of paradoxes.
Wisdom is being able to see the truth in contradiction.
For example. The secret to maintaining a healthy relationship, is by being with
someone, while not being with them.
Most people run around with their friends, and then spend some "quality" time
alone with their partner. Boring!
The secret is to spend time with others, while spending time together.
This cuts down on suspicion, and resentment.
Oddly, I learned something important in a witchcraft book. Gavin Frost said when
we buy a car, we want a 2007 Spitfire, with 1000 horsepower, Candy Apple Red,
with whitewall radial tires, an AM/FM DVD/CD/Cassette player, velour bucket
seats, and cruise control.
But when we get a partner for LIFE, we pick someone with big BOOBS!
Compatibility is very important. We need to have the same likes and interests.
Want to do the same things.
If you are talking about something important to you, and your partner tells you it's a
bunch of Horse manure. You have NO relationship with that person.

An act that is Evil must involve a victim or group of victims. Evil might benefit one person or a small group of people. Good is that which benefits a large group and creates no victims. This is how perspective can blur the lines. Something that benefits the country is good. It may victimize some people, which is evil, but it will be seen as good by the larger population.

Because God is the summation and author of that which we call good then obedience to His revealed will is then Good, evil then has to be the opposite of this and therefore deliberate disobedience would be that which is evil.

Good works to serve others, Evil only works to serve itself.

Einstien said that like cold is the absence of heat, and like darkness is the absence of light, evil is the absence of God.

Personally- and subjectively- I define good as that which supports and nurtures life, especially my own life and the lives of those I care about. In the same way, I define evil as that which hinders life.
But that's just me.
