I have long thick straight hair. And I have got no other option other than putting a high ponytail. But that has become awkward coz that is the only hairstyle that comes onto me. Please suggest any good idea to keep up my hairstyle.

It sounds like your hair would look beautiful if u got it cut into layers. Just make sure u find someone who knows how to cut hair well and wont have u walking out of the salon bald-headed. U also want a cut that allows u 2 have versitility so when youre tired of wearing it down, pull it up, throw some curls in it, or wear a cute flip. Whatever u decide, I hope it works out 4 u. Good Luck, and however u decide 2 wear your hair, dont 4 get 2 work it girl! even if your hair is nappy or frizzy! U can also look at different hair magazines (they have thousands available) and get an idea of how u can wear your hair according 2 your features and the shape of your face.

Don't be afraid to get a few long layers put into your mane. That way when it hangs you have a little flow, instead of total hippie hair hanging down. If done right it will compliment what happens naturally as hair breaks in the front and on the sides due to brushing and pulling.
Next get some bobby pins, you can do all sorts of fun and easy up-dos, french twists, you just have to practice. I like to use jaw clips (sort of like the ones hairdressers use) to hold my french twist in place and it literally only takes me seconds to 'do' my hair.
My other favorite is braids, long hair is so fun for braiding in different spots, adds drama and flair, keeps the hair out of your eyes. Good luck.

You know what you need? You need a nice layered haircut. And if you';ve got a pretty mane, don't be afraid to let it down!!
Try tying up just half of your hair strands into a pony, while the rest is down.
Also, you could try some plaiting. Its fun! Just get creative. Maybe let your hair down, and plait up six to eight braids at regular intervals.

Leave in conditioner, try getting a haircut, try a new style, color your hair, try new things. Don't be afraid to try new experiments with your hair. You'll never know how you look if you don't try!

u should use chinese sticks or your hair could go down or u could get a hair clip and do stuff with it. my hair is curly. iwish i had it like urs!!!
