It depends on where your passport is from. For many Countries, you don't need a Visa to enter the US.

The best thing to do is check with your consulate.

If you are visiting Canada from another Country I do not believe you can travel to the US without a passport but if you are Canadian you do not need a visa or passport to visit the US until 2008.

Your student visa is for Canada only. It does not give you access to the US. You have to apply for visa to travel to the US. Contact your closest US Embassy or Consulate.

Unless you're from North America or the Carribean, you will need a passport to enter the US.

Visa requirements depend on your home country; for a visit, your Canadian visa isn't directly relevant, although it will help show US customs officials that you aren't planning to stay illegally.

Contact your nearest US consolate/embassy for requirements.

I think you need to get something called a "re-entry" visa at the airport before you go.....don't know about driving...you'll probabyl have to speak to the consulate for whatever country you are from.
