I am refurbishing an old wooden fort with drawbridge. I need to cover the walls and floor with period type wallpaper .

Dor is right-- paper was very precious in those days-- in fact was hardly available-- that's when the priests inscribed the books on vellum-- scraped leather--
The walls were stone and the "decor" was tapestries. After looking in wallpaper books-- go to a fabric place. With some imagination and minimal sewing, you can have a tapestry!! OH the floors were stone too-- with rushes spread a few inches deep-- that's why the dogs-- the diners threw their bones on the floor and the dogs had their dinner......

I dont know what kind of wallpaper design your looking for but I bought some that looks like a block wall and it looks really cool. We have a paint and wallpaper store by us and they have tons of wallpaper books so you just have to look thru them.

I'm not sure but I don't think wall paper is widely used in medieval times. I believe their wall ornamentation went more to fiber arts - like tapestries and maybe in very wealthy homes fabric wall coverings.
