You need to go to the Passport agency in Atlanta or go to a large post office where they have a passport office. They're not expensive, $65 or something like that (You'll also need 2 pictures for the application, you can get them done at Kinkos).
You'll need your birth certificate (A certified copy) in order to get it.
Your daughter also needs one.

Where have you been trying to buy a passport?! Some of the passport agencies that do a rush job for you can be expensive, but if you do it at the post office, that's the going rate, you're not going to find it any cheaper. Last time I renewed, I think it was $70, maybe.
Yes, your daughter will need one too.

Check with your government passport service. If you are from the US there is the State Department site where you can get info and download an application (two since your daughter will need one too): http://travel.state.gov/passport/passport_1738.html
Happy travels!

Even newlyborns need passports. My first passport was when I was 11 months old. Is it that desperate in your country? Where did you come from? Here in the Philippines, you dont have to sell a kidney to be able to get a passport. You just have to sweat up a little. Meaning, just work a little harder.

If you are in the UK passports have to be purchased from the Passport office and will probably cost you as much as your holiday! Look on the internet for their website for further information. Hope you can keep both kidneys!
