The Bible contains these truths. One must search as for hidden treasure. (Prov 2:1-6) Now is the time for sincere people to identify the TRUE RELIGION.
......use these 3 keys to unlocking Bible truth....
1- Pray sincerely to God to find the truth of any spiritual matter and be humble enough to accept his answer, even if it is not the answer you necessarily want.
2- never pull a thought from a scripture which is taken out of context. Know the circumstances....who is talking....who are they talking to....etc
3- whatever thought or understanding you draw from scripture MUST be in complete harmony with the rest of the Bible. If something seems to contradict your conclusion, then something is not understood correctly. One then needs to rethink matters.
A SHORT_CUT to finding truth and true religion:
It helps weed out a lot of untruth by looking at the "fruits" of any religion.
Jesus said a rotton tree produces rotton fruit. There is a lot of rotton fruit from the "trees" of religion found today. If you see rotton fruit, don't look there for absolute truth.
Finally....Jesus said his true followers would be identified by the LOVE they show. (John 13: 34,35) This was a special kind of love called Agape in the greek. This is not based on emotion. It comes from self-discipline and can be most quickly defined as selflessness. People who have Agape, do things to benefit other people even when they do not know or like those people.....they do it because they want to please their heavenly father.

The true religion must also honor God's name. (Matthew 6:9) Jesus made God's name, Jehovah, known to others. True Christians must do the same. (John 17:6, 26; Romans 10:13, 14) Who are the people in your community that tell others about God's name?
True Christians must preach about God's Kingdom. Jesus did so. He always talked about the Kingdom. (Luke 8:1) He commanded his disciples to preach this same message in all the earth. (Matthew 24:14; 28:19, 20) True Christians believe that only God's Kingdom will bring true peace and security to this earth.—Psalm 146:3-5.
Jesus' disciples must be no part of this wicked world. (John 17:16) They do not get involved in the world's political affairs and social controversies. They avoid the harmful conduct, practices, and attitudes that are common in the world. (James 1:27; 4:4) Can you identify a religious group in your community that has these marks of true Christianity?

True Religion is guidance to live a life of character and virtue. There are 2 simple rules.
1. Believe in the supreme intelligence (GOD)
2. Love and Respect others as you expect others to do unto you.
May Jesus be your guide to apply these simple principles.

To say that a religion can be true shows you to be a cultist. Either Mormon or JW. There are a few others but true Christians know that a relationship with Jesus Christ is the truth while religions are man made and therefor imperfect. So confess Jesus and except life through the blood He shed for you on Calvary's cross.... Jim

Why not join Judaism? It's like the oldest! But they're awaiting their Messiah...the Christians have already received Him! There aint no need to join any religion, the most important thing is to have a relationship with God Almighty!

Catholic faith biblical, Catholicism is Bible Christianity par excellence.
Because the Old and New Testament Scriptures are the divinely-revealed, written Word of God, Catholics venerate the Scriptures as they venerate the Lord's body. But Catholics do not believe that God has given us His divine Revelation in Christ exclusively through Scripture. Catholics also believe that God's Revelation comes to us through the Apostolic Tradition and teaching authority of the Church.
What Church? Scripture reveals this Church to be the one Jesus Christ built upon the rock of Saint Peter (Matt. 16:18). By giving Peter the keys of authority (Matt. 16:19), Jesus appointed Peter as the chief steward over His earthly kingdom (cf. Isaiah. 22:19-22). Jesus also charged Peter to be the source of strength for the rest of the apostles (Luke 22:32) and the earthly shepherd of Jesus' flock (John 21:15-17). Jesus further gave Peter, and the apostles and elders in union with him, the power to bind and loose in heaven what they bound and loosed on earth. (Matt. 16:19; 18:18). This teaching authority did not die with Peter and the apostles, but was transferred to future bishops through the laying on of hands (e.g., Acts 1:20; 6:6; 13:3; 8:18; 9:17; 1 Tim. 4:14; 5:22; 2 Tim. 1:6).
By virtue of this divinely-appointed authority, the Catholic Church determined the canon of Scripture (what books belong in the Bible) at the end of the fourth century. We therefore believe in the Scriptures on the authority of the Catholic Church. After all, nothing in Scripture tells us what Scriptures are inspired, what books belong in the Bible, or that Scripture is the final authority on questions concerning the Christian faith. Instead, the Bible says that the Church, not the Scriptures, is the pinnacle and foundation of the truth (1 Tim. 3:15) and the final arbiter on questions of the Christian faith (Matt. 18:17). It is through the teaching authority and Apostolic Tradition (2 Thess. 2:15; 3:6; 1 Cor. 11:2) of this Church, who is guided by the Holy Spirit (John 14:16,26; 16:13), that we know of the divine inspiration of the Scriptures, and the manifold wisdom of God. (cf. Ephesians 3:10).

In my opinion, since religion is based on the ideas of a church it does not make any True. They are all just ideas and opinions. They are a theory. And a theory is neither true or false.

Gods child's answer is mostly correct. Orthodox was the first Christian church. Built on the scriptures and apostolic tradition. The Catholics split off from Orthodox.
