O COMPANION OF MY THRONE!
Hear no evil, and see no evil, abase not thyself, neither sigh nor weep. Speak no evil, that thou mayest not hear it spoken unto thee, and magnify not the faults of others that thine own faults may not appear great; and wish not the abasement of anyone, that thine own abasement be not exposed. Live then the days of thy life, that are less than a fleeting moment, with thy mind stainless, thy heart unsullied, thy thoughts pure, and thy nature sanctified, so that, free and content, thou mayest put away this mortal frame, and repair unto the mystic paradise and abide in the eternal kingdom for evermore

As a Christian, I will comment by saying of course we would all be so much better off if this were how we all actually behaved and lived our lives....BUT...there is that pesky thing called "free will" God knew man would become wicked with age, he watched it and it broke his heart, which is why He sent the floods to destroy all living creatures except for those saved with Noah and his family.
And by the way, Noah was a drunk.
Nobody is perfect and God knows that and He loves us anyway.

"that thine own abasement be not exposed."

Isn't that living in a potentially dangerous bubble? Isn't it important for the individual to examine one's life and actions so that you can learn and change from it? By not doing so, aren't you sentencing yourself to repeat the same mistakes over and over again? And if some internal demon is eating you alive, by not exposing it, aren't you a time bomb waiting to explode?

wonderful sentiments indeed,but there is too much discord and selfishness abroad in the world for this to be the way we live, although history has thrown up such individuals and of course Jesus was the role model.
I guess it takes a brave heart to undertake such values and to want to live them out, if only I had the courage would like to try.

If everyone behaved this way there would be no need of a savior.But since this isn't a perfect world and sin does exist the only way to God is through Jesus.

Same as saying "grace is sufficient"(no law req'd);
Or as what's grace, compared to what it's not: law.
Hence in a grace us end, there's no mention of law.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

Sounds like it is saying to wait out this life, doing nothing, in hopes for another life afterwards. That's stupid.
