Usually it's about something petty, like I need something for myself or mostly when I want something. Guess you could call them greedy prayers. That's what most people are anyway. They are just greedy little bastard's that want for themselves or their friends. I know one girl, she prays a lot. She'll pray for clothes and stuff then when she gets the money to go buy them she says God give it to her because she prayed. I'm always laughing at her.

Jesus is my light-source. Without Him I am nothing. If you want to make fun of that go ahead, because it is true. Before my Lord came into my life, I was essentially the same as those who do not have a personal relationship with Jesus. Lost, confused, asking all kinds of crazy questions, and never willing to allow my eyes to be opened to the truth. It was much easier to believe like everyone else. So I would say that the #1 reason I worship Jesus is because He showed me love, mercy, forgivness. Even in my ignorance, He waited for me to see the truth.

(I have never feared hell)

I just love my Savior. I was lost and undone without God or His Son when He reached out His Hand for me.

I worship Him for first loving me. This love is so overwhelming, so far beyond reason, hard to explain, hard to articulate that one can only worship Him. I am loved by God!

I pray to communicate with the lover of my soul. We two are best friends and we talk all the time. He communicates with me in His Word. When I call His Name, He is there. When I am happy, He is there. When I feel despondent, He lifts me from the pit. When I fail, He causes me to stand. When I cry, He wipes away the tears.

You didn't mention singing, but I love to sing of my Redeemer. With His Blood He purchased me. On the cross, He sealed my pardon, He paid the debt and set me free.

I owe so much to Jesus. W/o him I would never ever have the hope of living again on an earthly paradise. But, I do not pray nor worship him. I pray and worship the One that Jesus prayed to and worship, Jehovah.

I owe these guys so much. I have love them because of the love they showed me first.

Not fear of hell, no. I think I've probably done too many horrible things to be forgiven, and if I were to end up in hell, well, it's my own fault. I pray because it helps me feel guided in a turbulent world, to help me be a better person. Why be a better person if I'd go to hell anyway? Because humans need love & relationships, and to have purpose in their lives, whatever that purpose may be, and by trying to be a better person, I feel those needs get fulfilled. (Yes, I can look at my own beliefs & actions separately from my religion.)

Absolutely not! I do not fear that. Good Question, finally we can clear this up. I love Jesus because He died for all my sins. Because He first loved me. I worship Him because I am asked to glorify God through Him. I pray to Him because it gives me peace and comfort that I am not alone in this crazy world. He is the rock that holds me and my family together. He keeps us safe. He keeps us healthy. He helps us in times of trouble. One year I had no money for Christmas, not one dime. I continued to tythe what I could which wasn't much. When Christmas came I had food in the fridge and presents under the tree for my son. No it wasn't santa. Somehow I ended up having enough money to purchase it. I can't explain how it happened, but it did. It was such a blessing. He blesse me and my family everyday and the amount of gratitude I have could never be enough for all He has done. Have a lovely day and God bless.

I don't love Jesus for the fear of Hell because if you are a true christian that believes in Jesus Christ and that he died for our sins Hell should be the last things on your mind. I love the lord because he is good to me even though I have had a rough life. I still love him because it is all purpose.

It is something else. The reason taht I do all of the above is the atonement. Jesus Christ suffered for me and for everybody else on earth. It was a completely selfless act and because of them I am able to go to heaven, if I make good choices and live righteously here on earth.

Christians don't fear Hell; they fear being unpleasing to the Lord. In other words, they fear sinning against the Lord, because He has shown them His love first hand.

I do not worship, nor pray to Jesus.
That is a wrong practice.
Revelation 14:7 "fear God and give Him glory."
There is no need to fear hell.
Hell is the grave, 6 feet under and once there, one is really non-existant.
Ecclesiastes 9:5,10
Fear is a poor motivator.
Love is a better motivator.
