"Infamy! Infamy! They've all got it in-fa-me!"

Ok, so it's the quote from a carry on film and not strictly historically accurate, but it IS relevant for today because all leading public figures, and even some less well known, could say it.

Everyone from Bush, Blair, Bin Laden, Saddam, madonna, MJ, etc, etc.... it applies almost universally you might say.

There are a couple,

"A game of golf is nothing more than a good walk spoilt"

Winston Churchill.

"Sir, you are drunk! Yes madam, and you are ugly, however in the morning I shall be sobre!

I think this was Churchill as well.

"Plans are nothing but planning is everything."
Dwight Eisenhower.

"Killing people is easy, the hard bit is knowing when the killing has to stop!"

Two of my favourites are:-

Mark Twain on hearing that he had supposedly died placed an ad in the newspaper saying 'Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated.'

Cary Grant on receiving a telegram from a London newspaper that wished to report his (incorrect) death. The telegram was sent to his office and said 'How old Cary Grant?' Cary sent one back saying 'Old Cary Grant Very well.'

Don't know how they'd fit into modern society but they both certainly amused me.

"When a man died the Greeks only asked one thing "did he have passion?""
It's from a movie and I don't know if the Greeks did ask "one thing" but I think asking if someone has a passion for something is a good question
