....not only exist but have walked among us? What would your second reaction be? And what will your response be when you learn (as you eventually will) that the U.S. government has been sytematically concealing such proof from us for over half a century, at least since the Roswell, NM incident in 1947?

I am utterly flabbergasted! 20 (mostly) reasonable answers within an hour or so in the Religion & Spirituality Category and the word "God" not mentioned even once. Unbelievable, but true.

To the first, it wouldn't surprise me
To the second, it wouldn't surprise me
To the third, it wouldn't surprise me

I would just wonder what took so long for it to be officially acknowledged

If we truly believe that God created the universe, then for us to say that Earth is the only part of the universe with intelligent life would be an insult to the magnitude and intelligence of God.
Our myths are often about gods who interacted with humankind.
It is possible that these gods were actually visitors from other planets. We have cave paintings depicting people in space suits. A book written years ago: "Chariots of the gods" is a good read about this topic.
Has the US Government concealed information from us? Anything is possible but I do not think a secret of that magnitude could be kept as long as it supposing has.
Do these aliens live among us? Why would they want to with the mess we have made of our planet?
I believe God lives among us and touches our lives when we allow God to do so. This is more important to me that the possibility of someone from another planet visiting me. Every second of the day I have the opportunity to communicate with my God. This is more exciting than a visit from any celebrity or visitor from anywhere in the Galaxy.

There is nothing we can do,I believe that is a fact.I also believe it is a fact that the Vatican knows the same or more than they do.
It is only about ten years ago the Vatican came out with the statement we do not need to fear them, then when remodeling alien bodies were found there buried, also the largest observatory is owned by the Vatican nicknamed " The Pope Scope"Every ancient writing / drawing shows aliens ,every story in the Bible points to aliens. We will never be privy to the real deal.Wow what narrow minds, they have been here since time began, this is not
Star Trek, they do not want to take over the planet, they have had over 4 billion years to do that. They are here,They are real, Wake

First reaction: "I knew it all along." It's the law of probability: Given the incredibly high number of planets in this universe, and the sheer size of the universe, there's no way in hell we're alone.

What would I say if you told me that they were walking among us? I'd say, "Prove it." I'm not about to believe that without seeing some really convincing evidence or something.

As for the Roswell incident... I think it was a coverup, but I don't think it had anything to do with aliens. I'm not an expert on that incident but those kinds of events really get wildly exaggerated and blown out of proportion, so I'm not really sure what I believe.

Im a Christian and I know the Bible doesnt contradict there being other inteligent life. If that turned out to be the case it would certainly be interesting. I dont know about aliens but there definately are UFO's. I have never eyewitnessed one but my mother did, as well as hundreds of other witnesses pulled off a busy highway and watched one in broad daylight. She is very far from a nut or a sci-fi geek and I accept her testimony of it!

Systematically they have been conditioning us to accepting the possibilty. Some answers here are saying yawn etc. - That shows they have done their jobs properly of conditioning us to the probable eventuality that we are not alone.

Remember War of the Worlds? That was a test to see how the public would react, people freaked so they covered it up and drip fed us information ever since.

Now most people would certainly be curious, and many would welcome the idea. The universe would be very lonely if we are the only ones?

I'm already on your bandwagon. I'm an atheist, so there's plenty I don't believe in. But aliens, Roswell, government concealing and cooperating with them, those things, I do believe. My reaction is to just live my life as a normal human, and hope to be lucky enough to meet and talk with one of them to find out for myself what their intentions are, and why they are interested in us. So far, I have not personally met any, but I'd like to.

They are not from outer space, but from inside the earth. There are some of them who can look exactly like us. We may just be their pharmeceutical cattle that became their industrial base. They have been using religion, social movements, politics, and economy to control and herd us since our earliest days.

My first reaction would be 'I told you so', followed by worrying about which politician would be assigned to being the diplomatic envoy to them.

9 million people have seen alien spacecraft, and 9 million people can't be wrong.
I walked out my door recently and was immediately drawn to three lights in the
distance. My first thought was that it was lights on a tower it was behind.
After a minute, I noticed it was moving. By the time I got to Mickey Dees for my
morning coffee and the paper, it was directly ahead of me, about 1000 feet up.
It had three BIG lights on it. As I looked, the lights went OUT!
I told a friend who likes UFO stuff. The next day, he told me 2 guys at his job
said they saw it too.
People come up with all kinds of "reasoning" to not want to accept these things.
And they think they are really smart.
Like the one that it would take 10,000 years for them to get here. That argument
don't FLY! The Earth is millions of years old, so they have had plenty of time to
get here.

Well, i wouldn't really care actually. Unless of course, (childish voice) they can give me magical powers and will make me fly and have all my dreams come true. *sigh* (sarcastic)

(no offense, but you sound like a geek dude)

But i would be pissed off if the government has been concealing evidence of aliens. But still wouldn't care about it. Like i'd get to meet one, and if i do, how will it benefit me?
