I've been doing my research but it seems that there are so many options and prices.... that I just don't know to to buy.

okay i have been riding for about 4 years and i would tell you to get the Devon-Aire Camden-L'Cord Field and dress boots they arecomftroable adn olny cost $180 and if you live in the cold weather and she wants to ride get the mountain horse rimfrost 2 they cost only$95 i hope that i helped

Get a nice pair of field boots. They are more commonly seen on youngsters, and they "grow" with a child's changing feet a bit better.
Check with Miller's...
