An old Finnish saying states "A sauna is a poor man's drugstore"..it removes toxins from your body through sweating, relaxes muscles, rejuvinates you, and it's great for battling colds, the moist heat loosens up your sinus and chest congestion. Using a "vaasta" (a bough of cedar branches tied together) promotes circulation by striking it on your skin after it's been heated up by leaving it on the stove for a few minutes....the more steam in the sauna, the better the benefits!! It also does wonders for any type of joint disorder you may have...arthritis, etc.

Yeah it helps you to relax, stimulate your blood circulation, can relieve pain, and nervous tension.

Also being in a sauna helps burn calories this is because your body is producing more sweat resulting in an increased heart rate, and this in turn burns calories.

Also its a nice way of steaming your hair and its very good for the pores as by sweating you are flushing out unhealthy toxins
